Men's Health Caught Re-Using SAME COVER LINES From October 2007

Commented Dec 11, 2009 at 10:59:37 in Media

“About time Men's Health stopped pretending that their content is different from month to month. Every cover of MH contains the following:

* Build Muscle
* Burn Fat
* Have Better/More Sex
* Tips on Success from a Random Celebrity

It's a pretty good magazine, actually...but as other commenters have noted, you can get all of their useful information by saving one years' worth of magazines. It's the same thing over and over.”

“Who is shutting her up? Has someone prevented her from posting her YouTube videos?

The headline of this story says she was fired for helping people. The truth is, she was fired for repeatedly violating clear company policies on risk assessment.”

MalloMel replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 16:54:06

“Then we agree. I hope that her video goes viral, which it looks like it is doing. I'm glad that you don't want to shut her up. I'm glad that she is getting to have her say.”

You must be another one of the evil ones in this country- Republicans.
All of you should be sterilized and/or deported.
I wrote several nasty e-mails to Wachovia about their policy- NO I didn't have any overdrafts- but the poor, the not too smart and addicts get them piled on one after one. Those who live off other's misfortunes are lower than parasites.
I closed my Wachovia account and went with a Federal Credit Union- all Ameoicans should. There is no limit to the overdrafts- if you're stupid enough you can rack up 10 or 20 before the next statement comes out and some guy with a broom up his butt calls and says your have $500 in overdrafts plus the money we gave you when we knew you didn't have any money. Any guy that does that for a living should be taken out.”

“Can someone please explain to me how violating company policies and intentionally misrepresenting risk is NOT grounds for termination?”

joy316 replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 16:17:16

“Misrepresenting risk? Common since would tell you that raising the interest rates and fees on someone who is struggling to pay would put the company at greater risk of a default. A better question is why is BOA so reluctant to accept payments?”

Twopennygal replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 16:00:17

“That is so NOT what this article is about. She knew she was violating policy. She got fired for it. She's not arguing with that. Get over yourself!”

AnimalLover6 replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 15:58:03

“When "company policies" capitalize off usury--no matter how "legal"--it is a moral and ethical imperative to violate them. Read your Thoreau.”

PAposter replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 15:47:50

“The policy seems ambiguous at best (who qualifies), and the risk remained the same...it was merely extended. Let's be clear, the program she was qualifying members for, only stops interest from compounding...the credit card is closed, which cause the clients credit score to drop tremendously, and whatever the balance is that day, does not change...where is the increased risk? If anything she probably secured more payments as a result of her actions....the alternative is usually stopping payment altogether on a credit card where the balance never seems to decrease!”

MalloMel replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 15:47:48

“Listen up! I don't think anyone is saying that she should not have been terminated, but she does have a right to speak her piece, which she is doing. Would you fire her and then shut her up on top of it. Maybe you would, but I wouldn't.”

kk78 replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 15:45:31

dolphy replied on Dec 07, 2009 at 15:44:22

“How come the too big to fail banks did not get terminated? That description above is exactly what the big banks are. Instead of company policies, you can just substitute intent of constitution. These banks intentionally misrepresented risks all the time.”

I travel for a living, and I can say with no hestitation that sitting next to an obese passenger who is spilling out over the armrest is disgusting and makes for the most uncomfortable flight experience imaginable.

This is all not to mention that people like the guy in the article's photo pose a tremendous safety hazard to other passengers. How in the world do you evacuate a plan in an emergency around that guy? Would he even fit through the exit?

I don't mean to slam overweight people, but sometimes practicality and customer satisfaction have to trump political correctness.”

Shocked -- Or Not? New Data Shows Abortion Quite Common In Most Red States

- Poor Health Care Outcomes
- Socialst Profit Sharing (Alaska)”
