“I think that would fall under the heading of "arm twisting" and is no longer allowed in the Senate. Remember Tom Delay - that is what he did to get something passed - he held open the vote on the floor while he harranged the opposition within his party until he got the votes he wanted. He even threatened one Rep. that had a son running for office, Tom told the Rep if he didn't vote for the bill, his son would never get elected - he voted against it and his son was not elected.

You cannot do anything to "win" someones vote - you cannot offer anything, demand anything, or threaten punishment for anyones vote. The only thing you are allowed to do is debate the bill on the merits and hope for the best.”

She had discovered her breast cancer through self exam - Chris went apeshite and kept trying to bring the discussion back to self exams, young women giving themselves exams, husbands getting involved in examining their wives, etc. It was classic Chris - I swear he had an orgasim right in the middle of the interview!”

1. Man beats cancer but then kills himself - not likely but possible
2. Man spends a lot of time rigging ropes to hang himself, strips off his clothes, carves "FED" on his chest, then manages to duct tape his hands then somehow hangs himself - I am sure that it is physically possible but why go through all that - he had a car, he had duct tape - why wouldn't he just sit in his truck and run a hose from the exhaust to the cab and go that way?

“What a croc, you can't generalize on the college educations that conservatives or liberals have. There are Ivy leaguers on both sides as well as liberal arts majors. The post was not about which side has a better educational value when determining cost/benefits analysis - it is about the GOP calculating cost per job creation without decreasing the stimulus amount by the cost of materials, planing, etc. that is not related to jobs creation.

You can make any math problem come out the way you want as long as you use fuzzy math - case-in-point:

It takes 20 people to build one house in 20 days so therefore it would take 40 people 10 days, 80 people 5 days, 160 people 2.5 days and 320 people could build a house in 1.25 days! That is fuzzy math because it doesn't take into consideration any of the variables that is necessary to build a house, like time to dry the cement used, etc.

BUT NONE OF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH LIBERAL'S OR CONSERVATIVE'S HIGHER EDUCATION VALUES AND NEITHER DOES THE ARTICLE!”

“Fox News is the prime example with Rupert Murdoch on why we need to go back to FCC rules preventing media consolidation. Rupert went about buying up all the local and national media outlets to include newspapers, radio stations, and TV cable news stations. He then put together syndication packages that were sold to these outlets - this is why the Rush, Beck, and other liars were able to get these big market ratings without having to get it based on fans demanding their shows. The local stations had no choice in the matter - accept the whole package or pay ridiculous prices for individual canned shows. Rupert didn't care about ratings just markets that he could saturate with his shows.

What bothers me the most was when they allowed Rush on the Armed Forces radio that is heard by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan but Air America radio was not, so they only got to hear one side.”
