“Huff post why do you keep giving credence & print space to these crazies?????”
Joseph Peeler on Apr 30, 2013 at 15:00:52
“Funny, I was thinking the same thing when I read your post. Indeed, why does HuffPo keep letting "crazies" like you post here?
What was the purpose of tanks in the street?
What was purpose of violating 4th Amendment with warrantless searches?
Did we really need SWAT teams going door-to-door?
It amazes me that socialists lose their mind at the thought of someone owning a semi-automatic weapon while feeling all cozy about SWAT teams, tanks rolling down city streets, fully-automatic weapons, riot gear, Marshall Law, and invasions of homes by armed agents of the state.”

“well because this 'crazy' predicted the dot com bubble burst in 1999, he predicted the housing collapse in 2001, he also speaks the same clear message of what he believes the Constitution states with watering it down or changing it for support. he is spot on with this, if you have ever read the 4th Amendment you would realize that. put down the remote and pick up a book...you will probably stop posting nonsense then.”
“In the Book of Revelations in the Bible there is a prophecy that in the latter days there will be a civil war among the peoples. I used to think that it was going to be a whites against blacks (or vice versa) thing, but now I am starting to think that it's going to be the crazies with their assault weapons against the sane citizerns of this country who believe that hunters do not need assault rifles or assault weapons to protect their family and homes.”

“I'm not sure Revelations was just about the USA. Otherwise, you might be right.”
“Her son was always accepted when he came out as being gay. He couldn't take the pressure of his life as a gay man and the contridiction from the church that raised him. He was on meds for depression for many many years. This was not a "gay" suicide.”

“Wow. Just sad.”

“Young people who are gay and conflicted because of their religious parents indoctrinating them often become depressed and suicidal. The question is are gay people predisposed to depression, or does the lack of familial support and respect lead them to being more depressed. Our rates of depression are largely due to the disconnection of our communities.”

“Oh please. Who are you trying to kid? Revisionism worked once in the 70's, but it won't work again.”

“"He couldn't take the pressure of his life as a gay man" - and then you state this was not a gay suicide? Your bulb is not just on dim, it is burned out.”

“He was first sent to "Bachman" style therapy. To CURE him. That's not accepting. ”
I totally disagree with your comments/opinions, but will fight to the death for your right to have them.
Rand Paul-a do nothing in Congress and his pryor life-just wants to be front & center & out of his dads shadow. He does anything he can to gain attention. And the obstructionism of McConnell speaks for itself-in big bold letters that say RACIST. I am not "demonizing" just speaking the truth as I see it. And before you get all over me again, I am a social worker and my job and hobbies are making social policy, therefore I stay informed. Oh and to address your "why is that crazy" remark, because the people of Kentucky know nothing about politics or how government works. They are the first to complain about the GVT but will be first in line for the handouts, the free healthcare, the food stamps and the local police and firemen that help them. If they truly knew what the government did with our taxes they would be FOR going back to the tax structure we had when Pres. Clinton was in office. It's only 3 more percentage points for the richest of the rich. Why is that so crazy??”

“In a simple sentence; the problem is not that we don't tax enough but that we spend too much. Those same people who want a Norweigan style social system don't want to pay Norweigian style taxes. That is the nub of the problem. We are trying to have our cake and eat it, too. Social systems without cost. This is going to ruin our nation's economy. Instead of attributing wrong motivations to each other, we should be helping to find a way out of this. And to say McConnell opposes this administration because of racism is a foolish and wrong hearted statement. You have positively no evidence to support that rash and overly simplistic opinion. Not everyone sees the world through your eyes. To attribute racism to their opposition denies differing philosophies and really reflects badly upon you.”
“I want to know who keeps electing these people to represent them???? They act like they hate the government....then why work for it? I just saw Rand Paul on Chris Matthews show puffing up his chest over the fact that he is going to vote NO on raising any taxes. Where did this guy come from? Maybe the people in Kentucky thought he was Ron Paul??? Kentucky voters are the craziest with McConnell and Rand Paul as their elected officials. Mid term elections are coming and they BOTH need to be replaced with democratic candidates who are for the people not for the big money people who are their puppetmasters!”

“Lane, they believe they are for the people. Can't you allow the fact there are differing philosophies? To attribute ill will to either side is foolish. There are a lot of us who have never seen government ever do anything that was not ineffective and inefficient and do not want to see our resources squandered in that way. And for your information, most of the big money in this country goes to the dems while most of the individual money goes to the GOP. So which is really the party of the people? The whole idea of demonizing your political opponent is terribly immature and devisive. Kentucky voters just want to preserve their rights as guaranteed under the constitution. They see limiting the central government as the way to that end. Why is that crazy? You need to take a deep breath.”
“Harry-it's the difference between being a giver and being a taker. You and I care about our fellow men and women. Boehner and his sort only care about themselves and how much they can feed their egos and their bank accounts. That's the difference.

“Absolutely false. Most of us have invested heavily in capitalism and the pay off takes years. Taxes going up on us when business costs are already set hurts our families and forces us to reduce labor forces. I take care of 10 families. I pay for their house, for their food, for their kids and cars and toys. I work 20 extra hours every week to make sure the business is profitable, then some fed decides to reduce my takehome 5%, 10% or whatever. I have to pass this on to all 10 families.”
