Can Science Resurrect God? New Scenario Says 'Yes'

“"...religi ous fervor has dwindled of late because religions have failed to keep pace with human knowledge. For faith to thrive, our concepts of God must adapt to our evolving scientific knowledge. "
ENOUGH!
Science has permanently and continuously disproved all religious claims. That is a fact. As time goes on, empirical evidence and the scientific method will continue to do so.
Religions make claims based on faith and faith alone. Faith-based claims are false. ALWAYS. That's because all one has to do is compare the faith-based claim to the evidence. Without evidence, all religion has is a claim.
I claim that my teaspoon is telling me about the three-headed aliens that live on Titan. It's easy to make a claim. Because so much of humanity is desperately stupid, they buy in to any claim that's convenient. It takes energy and intelligence to find out truth. Most of humanity doesn't want truth, nor would they know it if it was right in front of them. Proof: the vast majority of humans believe in religious nutcase claims put forth by a dead zealots.”

“Anyone who supports that logic MUST, by definition of said logical argument, agree that NO MALE who has children should ever be in a combat situation. NOT ONE. The probability of a male dying in the military is extremely high. To demand that any male who has children deliberately, by orders of superiors, be in harm's way, violates that logic.
Thus, all conservatives who hold to the view that children MUST know their fathers, must demand that all males in the military who have children immediately be denied access to any killing field, combat theater, combat situation, or any place remotely connected with the possibility of dying.
One can't make an exception only for in vitro children or those who are adopted. This logical argument must, again, by definition, extend to ANY male who has children.”

Unfortunately, we live in a world where war happens and states and individuals will always be attempting to undermine and harm our nation and its people. Sadly, some families sacrifice so that the rest of us can continue to live in peace. Those brave individuals in uniform are out there DEFENDING the American way of life, so that anybody can enjoy any kind of stability and hapiness at all.
Its not just that gays in committed 'relationships' are depriving people of fathers (or mothers), its that they're undermining those very institutions. To them, Fatherhood doesn't MATTER. Motherhood doesn't MATTER.
It's been a loosening of sexual morals that have harmed so many in this nation and create so many single-mothers and illegitimate children. Gay marriage is just an attempt to further this process along.”

“Agreed. This is a pseudo-scientific argument that borders on religious belief. As familiar with the multiverse theory as I am, it is no justification to believe our consciousness doesn't dissolve when our bodies die. Besides, the multiverse theory of reality talks about decisions leading to alternate universes, not dying 'keeping one alive'. The only way the multiverse theory might be invoked here is that in one universe one might be alive where in another one might not be.”

A con game enabled by a government that ran interference for the con artists.
That's what everyone seems to miss. There was no 'absence of government'. Government has been purchased, fortified, and used to enforce markets in favor of an elite club of insiders.
Now this same network of crony capitalists has vastly exaggerated the threat of greenhouse gases ( nearly all of which are produced by sources other than human industry ) in order to impose even greater centralized ( globalized ) command over world commerce.”

“Yes, yes. The deniers, while being mostly religious themselves, always ALWAYS use the talking point 'religious fervor'. Pure poppycock. Science is not religion. Never has been. Never will be. Indeed, science has been used for over 400 years to push back the opaque veil of religious fervor, until what remains is FACTS. The emotional content (eg, the religious fervor without facts) that deniers use constantly betrays their basic misunderstanding of the scientific method and their intent to destroy modern civilization by reducing all knowledge to the size of a pea.”

We are warming our atmosphere. It is a physical/s cientific/ chemical fact that WE are to blame for the current warming cycle. We live in a closed system. The end of the last Ice Age came to a close approx. 13,000 years ago. With a few minor fluxuations here and there afterward, it wasn't until the Industrial Revolution that WE started spiking C02 levels to unprecedented heights.
WE are changing our climate. WE are changing the chemical composition of our atmosphere. WE are in for some big surprises before it's all done.
And my guess is that the profit motive will prevent us from stopping it.”

Crash course: "Peer Reviewed" means other expert scholars in the field have looked over an article and agreed its methodologies are sound, its use of prior research is up to date and complete, and its findings are relevant. Peer review does NOT mean the conclusions are 'correct' or 'accepted' science, or even that the reviewers believe it to be 'right.' Peer reviewed publication is only the STARTING point in establishing findings as broadly accepted scholarship. The next step is others will interrogate the findings by repeating experiments, exploring raw data with an eye for flaws in its recording or analysis, and retesting the data in relationship to new or broader data sets. If emails come out that indicate the peer review process may have been compromised and the raw data may have been intentionally withheld and even destroyed, how in he// is that not a big deal?
There's little difference between religion and your perception of science. Peer reviewed literature is NOT scripture, and no true scientist ever intends it to be accepted as scripture. Scholarship moves forward and continues to investigate even ideas that have been researched and published in peer reviewed journals. If you're intent on respecting the theory more than science itself, you might as well just go back to church and call it a day.”

Any time we look at the world through an ideological lens, it means we look at it the way we're told it should be rather than how it actually is.
