Heene Lawyer David Lane On Today Show: "We're Left In The Dark"
Commented Oct 19, 2009 at 16:22:00 in Denver
“The fact that they hired David Lane tells me a great deal about the family, and it's not good. Lane has quite a reputation in Denver and while a few still think of him as a man of principles, most people realize that he too will do anything for attention. Let's just say, knowing him personally, I have nothing good to say about him, or any integrity he might have had.”

Colorado Solar Power Outshining State's Gas Industry
Commented Oct 11, 2009 at 11:44:23 in Denver
“We live in Denver and had enough solar panels put in earlier this year to produce an amount of power equal to our average use. So far we couldn't be happier. Excellent work by Joe Bid-en's friends out of Boulder and the price was a deal b/c of the rebate and tax credit. I always knew I needed the sun in a big way.”

Sandra Day O'Connor: Stop Electing Judges
Commented Sep 14, 2009 at 23:04:05 in Politics
“As a lawyer with 20 years of experience in the judicial system, I agree 100% that judges should not be elected. Appointment, with or without retention by election, is not a problem-free alternative but I cannot imagine wanting anyone who is willing to run for the position to be a judge. It is an inherent conflict and a Bad idea.”

“you might be right. Something needs to done. The Bush administration politicized the DOJ. Am worried we are going to end up with the court swinging to the religious right. That would be a disaster for this country. Am worried for my granddaughter's rights to take birth control pills will be taken away from her. This is a bad situation. The religious right is ruinning this country. Believe me I believe in god but I also believe in separation of church and state.”

“I don't shop at Walmart because I don't have to. I understand that many people don't have that choice, esp. since Walmart has put all the local stores out of business. Women Walk In Fall 2009's Most Punishing Heels (VIDEO)

“I am a certified shoe fanatic but I will wear nothing over 2 inch heels because my health and well-being (including my feet's) are more important than beautiful shoes. I am also a professional and do not want to give anyone a reasonable excuse for treating me with less than the respect I deserve. The shoes were the first thing that made me dismiss Sex and the City because I could not respect the characters who insisted in wearing such ridiculous shoes. As other have asked, will we go back to footbinding next? Not me, I'm perfectly happy with my healthy 6.5's.”
Adult Orthodontia: A Whole-Hearted Endorsement (SLIDESHOW)
Commented May 16, 2009 at 20:08:58 in Style
“It wasn't until I was adult and finally got insurance which would cover part of the cost of braces for myself (rather than my nonexistent children), that I got braces to correct a bad bite. It was painful and expensive but worth it for the long term advantages. I find myself looking at professional people with bad crooked teeth and wondering why they don't do something about it. It's no fun to go through but in some cases would definitely help people (who can obviously afford it) be taken more seriously in the business world.”

Nancy Pelosi's Hair Through The Years (SLIDESHOW, POLL)
Commented Feb 28, 2009 at 12:42:31 in Style
“I think almost anyone should stop the color. There is a difference between bettering ourselves and trying to pretend aging doesn't happen. Grandmothers are generally of an age in which it is appropriate to have gray hair. And gray hair would be considered "attractive" if more women had the courage to wear it. I've been going gray since my 30's and I can't imagine wasting the time and effort to try to fight it. Life is too short.”

mphalen replied on Feb 28, 2009 at 00:05:09
“No way. Gray hair is not that attractive and only a few can pull it off. And she must have a good colorist because it looks natural. Now if she were to dye her hair a color it never was, that would be a different story. And what does being a grandmother have to do with it?”

“Why so much negativity? Why not give these people the benefit of the doubt and assume that at least for most of them- this came from the heart? They are echoing Obama's call for change and that alone deserves our gratitude. If it inspires anyone to go out of their way to do something to help this country, isn't that a good thing?? We all know this country needs all the help it can get. So stop whining and get to work! I have to go get ready to paint a nursing home now.”
