“It's -10 where I am and that's really cold but I freeze when I'm visiting So Cal in a cold snap. The lower altitude? The damp ocean layer? I dunno', but like their heat waves, it can be oppressive even when the thermometer says it's moderate.”
“I've hunted with a lot of people in my life and I've never seen anyone relish in the kill itself- nothing even close. I've seen people hone their skills and take pride in their abilities and the effectiveness and accuracy of their weapons, but everyone I've ever known honors the animal and has regret in it's death. If you think there is a lack of empathy, I suppose you must think that of every human that's ever walked on the planet- they've all hunted or perished. Maybe go visit your nearest Indian reservation and tell them that you think they and their ancestors are bloodthirsty savages. Where empathy is lacking is in purchasing meat at the grocery store with a complete detachment from the animal that the earth provided, with little or no sacrifice from themselves. The disease is being able to dismiss the unnatural pattern in the modern US food distribution system, the waste, pollution and unhealthiness of it, the corporate tithe all along the way, from the farm to the plant to the cold storage to the distribution center to the grocery, with no less than four freight companies to transport it to get it to your table. If you think that is a more decent way, you are lacking empathy for the planet and a disregard for the sacrifice of the animal that shared it with you.”

“Your platitudes leave me unconvinced. If "everyone [you've] ever known honors the animal and has regret in it's [sic] death," then why go out and kill the animal in the first place? If you don't need to kill and you don't relish the kill, then why kill? And people *did* think the Native Americans were bloodthirsty savages (although not because they hunted for survival), which is why they exterminated them and stole their land which is how the United States was formed in the first place.”
“I can't speak for everyone, but I hunt, and every kill hurts my heart. While it isn't easy for me to do, I do believe it's more humane and dignified for the animal and much more environmental than purchasing mass-grown, mass-butchered, mass-processed meat at the store.”
“You're talking about a man that can't keep a personal thought in his head- he thinks everything that crosses his mind should be heard. He exercises a shameless lack of privacy. His opinion is a terrible example.”
“How would you upgrade the 4th? It says everything it needs to in my opinion.”
