Americans Are Eating More Butter Now Than They Have In The Past 40 Years

“Butter is kinda like bacon in my mind - mostly natural and it either tastes good or adds good taste/flavor to what it's added to. And we were eating butter long before they created margarine. I guess you just can't fool Mother Nature after all.”

“When I was able to start working again, it was temp work. I'm finally employed but it's seasonal so my hours were cut by half. I've picked up a part-time job at an office supply store which pays about half of what I make at my regular job. I work hard; I take pride in doing good work. But, I do believe that the international/national companies who pay their executives salaries which are hundreds or even thousands of times more per hour than their floor employees do not have their priorities straight with regard to their lower level employees. "Points" do not pay the rent or put gas in my car; cash does. Paying a living wage would also correct employee loyalty challenges.”

humaneisfact on Dec 20, 2013 at 21:02:22

“and i will not be surprised if you are trained eventually to do multiple jobs there. And a living wage wouldn't put a dent in the company's profits..sadly it is not so much they are afraid of losing a little profit or it coming out of their millions personally but that the very act of paying a living wage will lead to more workers rights and more demands for fair labor. Its the chain reaction it would cause.”
