it could do away with Cherry picking( insurance companies have to take all comers).
it could do away with insurance companies dropping coverage.
they are two most VILE things insurance companies do today.
Many republicans would vote for those changes.
you would have to add Tort reform to the smaller bill and allow insurance companies to cross state lines to get the votes also.
get rid of insurance companies anti-trust exemptions as well.
they could all be done with bi-partisan support.
we simply do not have the votes yet for a single-payer Medicare system for all, but these bills do NOT get us closer to that, they push us FARTHER away!!”
