Lagging In Fundraising And Begging For Applause

“If there is an "Empty Suit" in this race, Fred Thompson is it. What is the point of this the Thompson candidacy? Seriously? What compelling reason can he give anyone to vote for him or donate money to his campaign? What has this man accomplished other than serving as well paid lobbyist, having the least distinguished record of any public servant in the race and playing authority figures on TV? The GOP's Great White Hope looks more like the Great White Dope.”
Bill Clinton: I'd Be Happy If My Office Was In The White House Basement

“We as American citizens need to revisit the notion of what type of experience is in fact relevant experience for "leadership" of the United States of America and the Free World and whether we have what our forefathers warned of in terms of a Monarchy in which a couple of families, Bush & Clinton, control access to the throne. On the surface Hillary is an interesting candidate who is highly intelligent, excellent academic pedigree, professional experience as an attorney, is currently serving as the Junior Senator from New York having previously served as the first lady in Arkansas as the Governor’s wife and in the Whitehouse as the President’s wife. Hillary has been around public life virtually her entire life and perhaps the Democratic Kingmakers feel it is her turn. But Hillary has in truth held public office for less than 6 years and never held an executive position or run a business.
The jury is still out but we should not assume that Hillary’s experience in any way dwarves that of “ANY” other candidates in the race. At best, her experience is on a par. The foregoing being said, I still have not made up my mind independently but refuse to be told whom to vote for by the corporate media which keeps forecasting winners pushing Giuliani vs. Clinton. Thank goodness for Iowa & New Hampshire. In a country where our leaders are becoming increasingly distant and guarded from the general population, I am counting on have Americans in those two states who have gotten up close and personal with these folks to look beyond the polls even while machine politics hope to stack the odds against independents by compacting the primary season. Our Democracy is at stake and all Americans need to watch what is happening and whether a growing fascism is limiting our relative choice.”

Behind Britney's Bomb: Tardy For Rehearsal, Drinking Margaritas, Refusing A Corset

“INFOTAINMENT. Infotainment is by design used in America by the Corporate Media to sidetrack and distract the American Public from the more serious issues of our time. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Nicole Ritchie and other Americans of INSIGNIFICANCE will hog the headlines so that most Americans will never think about the decline of freedom and prosperity in America, the growing inequality between the classes and the growing power of the state over the individual.”

“Infotaiment is used to make money.
Politicians who like to see the limelight changed from them and real issues like infotainment and use it as a cover.”

Thompson Fundraising "Slowed Down Big-Time": Set To Report $3 Million Raised In June

“FRED THOMPSON is an "EMPTY SUIT" with a non-existent record of accomplishment, a mediocre Congressman at best who was more well known for his skirt chasing and lack of a consistent work ethic, except when serving as Lobbyist/Corporate Shill for entrenched corporate interests. The Republican establishment's flirtation with Thompson and annointing him as some sort of savior illustrates how vacuous the party has become in recent years. REAGAN, like him or not, had a VISION for AMERICA and leadership experience as the Chief Executive of one of America's largest states (Governor of California). Thompson couldn't hold Reagan's jockstrap. Can anyone tell me ONE THING that Fred Thompson has done that qualifies him to be the President of the United States? Oh I forgot, he is regularly cast as an "Authority Figure" on television. Perhaps proof that entrenched interests want to BUY someone to put in and PLAY the ROLE of PRESIDENT.”

“I don't believe that Reagan had anything developed enough to call a vision. A "notion", perhaps, but not a vision.”
