Dems Ramp Up Push For Colleagues To Block Filibuster On Health Care
Commented Sep 24, 2009 at 15:07:40 in Politics
“So what took these dolts (besides Sen. Sanders) so long to think of this? Here they are talking about reconciliation and what not and all they have to do is to not allow a filibuster and just put the whole thing up for an up or down vote. If this was the Repugs, they would have long ago shoved this down the Dems throats. The whole purpose of reconcilation is moot now. These guys have a 60 vote hammer and it's time they used it.”

“This sorry excuse for a human despicable. I think he hates it that Bill Clinton was successful in obtaining their release without any bloodshed. He would rather Euna and Laura be kept confined for however long to achieve his warmongering goals. I'm personally happy that they are back in the US and safe with their family. People like Bolton should be in prison, in straight jackets, they are too looney to be on the loose.
I'm asmused though by Bill Clinton's expression during the photo ops, he was obviously not amused but had to bite his tongue to get their release. I bet he wanted to strangle that pathetic little man who thinks he accomplished a great coup having BC come to NK.”

Virginia Voting: Broken Machines, No Paper Ballots
Commented Nov 04, 2008 at 12:19:38 in Politics
“Tim Kaine is "supposed" to be one of Obama's strongest supporters. He needs to be making sure that EVERY vote is counted in his state. Virginia is VITAL, as it could either open the door to an Obama landslide or provide McCain with a path to victory. If he was a rethug govenor, you can bet the McCain would be getting every home field advantage. Unbelievable.”

“A better question is what happens to Lieberman if Obama wins. He needs to be slapped down and slapped down HARD. The Politics Of Stupid
Commented Aug 01, 2008 at 14:03:45 in Politics
“Being "cool" during the primaries was OK, but this is the general election. Sen. Obama is going against some of the most slimy and nasty campaign consultants out there. I'm sure he'll be cool when the situation warrants, but for this first snit, he has got to let those slimeballs know that he will NOT be John Kerry and just let them bash, and bash, and bash. I as a Democrat am GLAD to see him fight and fight back immediately. Cool has its place, but this is not one of them.”
Obama Hasn't Ruled Out Clinton As Vice President
Commented Jul 12, 2008 at 14:47:26 in Politics
“Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer. Perhaps giving HRC the VP slot might be a better way to control both her AND Bill. After all, the Bill was once the president and a great one at that. Obama would actually BE the president. He would have the ability and the power to yank their chains and keep them in line whenever he felt he needed to. Also, he won't have HRC or Bill about causing problems for the next 8 years. They'd be good and loyal Obama hacks because that is what it will take when her turn finally does come in 8 years.”
McCain And Obama Tied In Georgia
Commented Jun 20, 2008 at 12:58:54 in Politics
“If Georgia goes to Obama, it's over. A win there will cause the red state electoral map crack that will split into a complete Obama landslide. Add to this the fact that Ron Paul and Bob Barr seem to be cozying up, McCain could be in deep doo-doo in other red states too.”

Dems Not Backing Obama? Rahm Will Deal With It
Commented Jun 13, 2008 at 14:45:01 in Politics
“Why are you framing "most liberal voting record" like there is something wrong with voting liberal? After the Reichwing has practically wrecked this country, especially after the last 8 years, if anyone should be running away from how they voted in Congress, it's them. From everything to the economy, healthcare, bankruptcy laws, even extending unemployment insurance they have repeatedly voted against working Americans. Then, they have the nerve to act like something is wrong with being liberal and at least trying to be a voice for everyday Americans and not just the rich and powerful ones. While this is going on they dupe everyone else into voting against their own interests with anti-abortion and gay bashing, while stealing billions from the government. The last Republican ran Congress before this one was an underreported travesty of stealing and graft. We only scratched the surface of the corruption that went on. I pray everyday that Americans will wake up and vote these facist, theiving rightwing warmongers out of office once and for all.”

AP: Obama's Political Team Out-Organized Clinton
Commented May 24, 2008 at 12:49:25 in Politics
“Yes. You have to wonder why the Reichwing dropped everything they were doing and went ALL OUT to defeat Rep. Rush Holt's bill that would have required a paper ballot audit trail for this election. We have to be very careful of cheating. There are many powerful people who will try to stop an Obama presidency at all costs.”

“You look at the Republican Party and all you see are pasty faced white guys clinging to what they think America used to be, when the real America is the complete opposite. And they wonder why they are getting their asses kicked in elections. Also, I love how Barack Obama is not afraid of the rightwing blowhards and will pull the idealogical pointy white sheets off their heads so that we can face what is really going on with them head on. Up till now, the Democrats have been running scared of these guys. What Democrat would take these guys on? I haven't seen one up tiil now. It's a new day and it's about time, halleujah. Bravo Sen. If you think HRC's Bobby remark is a problem for the Dems, just wait until the dirt starts flying at Barak. Ms. Clinton is long gone, but Barak remains and will take all of the shit the neo-nuts can dish out. If anything happens to Obama, those of us who have had it should move to Canada. Not the best place in the world, but better than here.”

“I feel the same way. Seems the anti-immigrnt rantings of Dobbs and others has stirred the hatefull minds of insecure people into actions that contradict rational Christatian ethics and morality. i Quit watching Dobbs along time ago because I viewed him as dangerous and bigoted. Discusions about unfettered immigrigation are valid but Dobbs created a climate where all of our social problems were blamed on anyone who looked like an immigrant. Good for Obama to stand on his principles and denounce these fear mongers for their roles in escalating vilolence against Americans. Thanks Obama for saying it like it IS.”

“If you really think this, you do not undestand the evil machinations of the powers that be. There are many of the powerful who would not mind Barack Obama doing something else instead of running for president (I can't even say the ofher thing). It has nothing to do with race, per se. It is all about power and their loss of it. Obama is a complete outsider to the ruling class and they do not know what to make of him. He does not need them for money and he is not surrounded by their lobbists. He literally does not need them and you have to wonder how they are going to react.”

“According to HRC, she wants the count done "as voted" in Michigan, which means she gets credit for her votes and Obama gets zip. Uncommitted does not get counted. Unbelievable. If the situation was reversed, she would not give a crap about these votes and would fight tooth and nail to keep them out. How hypocritical.”
Chuck Hagel Takes On McCain, Repeatedly Praises Obama
Commented May 21, 2008 at 14:01:46 in Politics
“Please do not put Hagel and Lieberman in the same sentence. The two have nothing to do with each other. Lieberman is a two faced phony, who left the Democratic Party after begin embarassed in the senate primary by his supposed constituents in Conneticut, then hoodwinked them into voting him back in as an independent in the general election. Many in that state bitterly regret their vote as they see him whispering in McCain's ear like some evil regent. He played them for suckers. His day of reckoning is coming, you can bet your arse on that. Hagel, on the other hand seems to be a man of integrity whose party has rushed by him in a effort to move as far to the right as possible. One of the few voices of reason still left in the party. He is that rare breed of centrist Republican that could be the saving grace of their party, but the right will not allow that to happen as they drag guys like Hagel right over the cliff with them this election.”
Cowboylove replied on May 21, 2008 at 17:18:49

“Hagel is a great man, and I don't say that because I live in Nebraska. I do of course! But, I really liked how he could work with both sides, and when he stood up to tell bush he was wrong, as he is here with Mccain! I use to have great respect for Mccain! He was a true Hero and Mavrick at one time. But he sold his princples for the lust of power and need to obtain this Presidencey has taken over his sense's! It's the only thing I can explain as to what happened to this great man Mccain, and what he use to stand for! I don't even reconize what he has become these last months! I often wonder if it's his age or illnes of the cancer and stress that has done him in? But, he sure scares he know! He's angry all the time! I fear for Cuba, and Iran under him. I even fear what he may do to us. I pray for him, and Senator Clinton who has derailed their own believes, and dignity of being true to themselfs in this election year. Lust, and Power has taken over their lifes so bad!”

CarlyCorday replied on May 21, 2008 at 15:16:09
