“- Kept under 30 hours to prevent benefits from kicking in.
- Told that they will work after Thanksgiving or lose their job.
- Encouraged to apply for food stamps.
- Not allowed to unionize.
- Wages kept low while higher echelon folks wages keep increasing.
Maybe someone can help me understand ... where is the incentive to deal with this kind of mayhem?”

“Singers, artists, actors routinely cross racial lines ... and it's incredibly likely that someone in the affected racial group will be offended. It's all just a matter of degree and extent the offense happens.
While there was likely no ill-facing intent behind the depiction, if it's insensitive to someone - then maybe we should be listening to the reasons of why. Whether it's a mascot, the use of a word or how someone is dressed.
We need more respect in the world, not less.”

“I've listened to the reasons that some are offended. They don't make any sense.”
“Energy exertions of such magnitude are completely wasted. If she's not understanding flight travel, then it's not the airline's fault that delays happen. It's part of the traveling process and if you're cutting it this close to your connections then it's hard to have sympathy here.
While well intended in his approach - it too was a wasted expulsion of energy. It only fueled things more - ramping it up ... and while all they wanted was the woman to calm down ... it was very apparent the woman was not going to.
It didn't need to happen - but this is why folks have short lives, heart attacks and other health issues.
Chill folks - we'll eventually get there together.”
“For those that are unaware, the criminal justice system is broken ... has been broken ... and will remain broken until folks start waking up to the reality that there's more problems than the events surrounding the incident itself.
Maybe it's time to start looking at the problem than attempting to sweep it under the rug like it doesn't exist ...”
“So Liz supported gay marriage before she was against it?
This couldn't be a family matter because it's a national discussion. You're either for it - or against it. I do find it troubling for Liz to be compassionate for her sister's family ... only then to come out adamantly against it.
I'm just waiting for the folks at Faux to start saying that this ruins Christmas - and somehow gay people are responsible for Dick's family disagreement.”

“Yes, it would seem so. I liked the last paragraph very much. Fanned to you.”
“We once cared about the jobs we take because the business, agency or whatever cared enough about their workers to ensure that they were taken care of. When the likes of WalMart and other companies decide to treat employees like inventory ... then it shouldn't come as any surprise that WalMart workers are generally unhappy with their job.
Yes - it's a job. Yes folks go there by choice ... except it's not really a choice is it? Not when we have families struggling to get a job - any job - so that they don't have to be on the public dole. Not when we have the likes of Scott in Wisconsin stripping worker's rights. Not when the Supremes constantly rewarding big business by making it easier to use and abuse the workers companies employ.
R's are ensuring that we become a Darwinist society - survival of the fittest ... and they do so with a bible in one hand and a gun in the other.
“Climate change deniers - take the following test:
1.) Do you have a lawn with grass?
2.) Do you water the lawn?
3.) Are you then not intervening in the natural progression of your lawn so that it can be lush and green?
4.) If you don't water the lawn, does it wither up and die? Why then do you insist on not letting nature progress naturally to determine whether your lawn lives or dies?
5.) If you answer Yes to #3, then why isn't it possible that man is affecting our own intervention in the natural progression of the earth? A seemingly larger lawn by which we have infected it in nearly every corner of the world.
If you're intervening in nature's progress on your yard - then you are no different than those that are adversely affecting the earth. You're affecting change - plain and simple.”

“Oh my god... You are so on the mark it is incredible.... I have never understood it until now... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you....”

“Well said, spooner. WAY too logical for a lot of the deniers to grasp, but it's a nice analogy. May I quote you?”
“Fines won't do anything. It's a sportsmanship issue and therefore needs to raise to the level of a flagrant foul. Suspensions should be carried out for flops to send a message that you're going to hurt the team as well as your pocketbook.”
“I agree - and he's saying it was a joke ... which ... has to be one of the worst jokes I can think of. If Martin was doing this in return - then alright - let the boys sort it out ... but I agree with your sentiment - if true, there's no place for it in football or anywhere else really.
I hope the facts come out - and can be verified as such since we have a classic case of "he said, she said" working here..”
“Those defending the whole thing as "team building" ... is making overt sexual (threats) references to your sister acceptable by your measure?
If the answer is yes - have you been checked recently for possible lapses of judgment and insanity?”

“When you start trashing a man's family, you have gone over the edge. I'm a Dolphin fan and a fan of Incognito, but if everything being reported is true, we can kick Incognito to the curb, regardless of how it hurts the team. He needs his day in court though.”
