“In the state of Washington a person commits assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, by touching, attempting to injure or touch, or threating to injure another person with a gun or other OBJECT. In Washington assaulting some one with a deadly weapon is a 2nd degree assault (Wash REV CODE ANN 9A 36.021) A defendent commits assault 1) By Intentionally touching or striking someone in a harmful way. 2) Attempting to touch or strike another SO LONG AS THE DEFENDENT HAS THE APPARENT ABILITY TO DO SO... OR. 3)Any PHYSICAL ACT that intentionally places another person in APPREHENSION or HARM. It looks like the skateboarder will be charged with "assault with a deadly weapon".”

“Or the driver of the van who "may have bumped him" hopefully will be the one charged with assault with deadly weapon. Seems like the driver was impatient and "bumped" the skateboarder, who the hit the front of the van with his board. The driver "fearing for his life" then ran the 'boarder over. That's the assault with a deadly weapon.
Speedy recovery to the Skateboarder. Recovery from a fractured pelvis and it's complications sucks, especially for someone so physically active.”

“If he shot through the door it would still be involuntary manslaughter at the very least”

“To bad there is no criminal charge for stupidity and cowardice......there is no evidence that she was tying to break in, she brandished no weapon. He made the decision to shoot through a door knowing he was in no imminent danger.. He could have called 9111 and retreat to a different part of the house away from the door and than use his weapon if she found a way to enter the home. When people knock on my door and I don't know them, I keep my door shut and talk to them through the door or I don't respond at all. They usually leave. If need to I call the police, I do. I have a monitored alarm system that keeps me safe while without firing a single shot.”

“It was NO accident that he reached for his gun!!! It was NO accident that he walk to the door with his gun! It was NO accident that his finger was on the trigger of his gun! And it was NO accident that he shot and killed Renisha McBride!!”

“If it happened this way then that would be Involuntary manslaughter. Also if the gun went of by accident then he did not shoot because he was in fear of his life. That would be Involuntary manslaughter. When someone bangs on my door I ask "who is there?!" I don' shoot through the door, and I don't open the door.”
