Smokers Are Getting Skeptical About E-Cigarette Claims, According To Study

Smokers Are Getting Skeptical About E-Cigarette Claims, According To Study

“"Researchers also found that while people may perceive e-cigarettes to be less harmful than conventional cigarettes (as they've been marketed), there's no relationship between that perception and any attempt to quit conventional cigarettes."

This statement alone is questionable. Of all the people I know who have tried e cigs, the majority of them have either quit smoking completely and are now vaping and or are in the process of quitting conventional cigs.

To me it is about harm reduction. Plain and simple. I smoked for close to ten years up until I had trouble sleeping at night because I could not breathe. I would wake up gasping for air. Since I have switched to e-cigs, my breathing has gotten much better and my sense of smell has returned. I have cut my nicotine down to six milligrams as well.

My story is not uncommon in the least bit. Talk with any person who vapes and I bet you will hear close to the same story.

Does more research need to be done? Yes of course. However knee jerk reactions and legislation will be more detrimental to getting people off of cigarettes. It will cause big tobacco to become the leader in e-cigs. We all know what that will entail, more chemicals added to e-cigs that will be more addictive. It will circumvent the single reason why people have switched to e-cigs in the first place. All while killing tons of legitimate business that create their own juices and products.”

Here is some good information regarding E cigs. You will have to register to see more of the pages but it is worth it in the information that it provides.”

“Did you know, that during the time period between 1997 to 2000 many whales beached on shore. The population of grey whales that frequent the ocean in the north western coastal area were flourshing. But that comes at a cost, They also must get closer and closer to shore for food.

I believe (and this is just my own opinion and not the opinion of my tribe) the IWC should allow my tribe to hunt in small quantities. Much in the same way the deer population is kept down to a manageable level. It helps retain a healthy population and promotes a level that can me maintained.

So I can't help but retort on your statement about me hating the planet. A little background about myself, I have throughout my years participated in many different environmental things. I was a memeber of Roots and Shoots, an organization created by Jane Goodall. I helped plant and maintain a wetland that had been destroyed. Plus many other things to help and promote healthy our environment. So please tell me, how I hate the planet?

If you want civil discourse I will be more than willing to have a conversation. But if this is going to amount to name calling and unintelligent arguments then please just refrain.”

“And that's the exact reason this planet is screwed. Comparing Whales to deer? Oh please. Humans have spread across the land and pushed animals into smaller and smaller areas. We haven't done this to Whales. Humans need to leave large areas of the ocean as marine parks and our oceans may survive. We have to get it out of our heads that we can control the planet. Especially the oceans. For 50 million years the planet hasn't needed humans to control populations of other species. What we do need is to try and control our own species.”

“"Threats to intimidate or coerce"

Also please refrain from comments like "Since you hate the planet so much, please, stop using oxygen."
If you have something intelligent to say then say it. The fact of the matter is I have my family has witnessed their terrorism first hand. I am a part of the Makah tribe. They broke laws and violated our legal whale hunt. Their members blatantly disregarded the law.The groups signs hand messages "Kill a whale, Kill a Makah" "Makah's are baby killers"”

“By clear definition the Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherds are terrorist.

"Terrorist-
A person, usually a member of a group, who uses or advocates terrorism.

Terrorism-
1. The use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.

2. The state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization."”

yer right on May 14, 2012 at 00:01:29

“That's BS. Paul Watson and his crew travel freely around the world. I live in New York and I travel freely in and out of the US. I have been pulled aside once in LAX by US Customs because I was wearing a crew shirt. But only because they were huge fans of Sea Shepherd and wanted to shake my hand. Not really the response you expect if I was labeled a "terrorists". And I've always thought it a lame thing to call people.”

Davey Johnson on May 1, 2012 at 18:23:36

“Wrong. Not even close. There is no violence in Sea Shepherd actions, except the violence that they are trying to stop.

Since you hate the planet so much, please, stop using oxygen.”

Positive Thinking: Questioning Its Power

Positive Thinking: Questioning Its Power

“You are correct in your statement Tolle does not talk about the power of positive thinking. Where Cara got that info is beyond me. Tolle talks more about the Ego and the harm that it does to our lives than actually thinking positively. Case in point, The story he tells of a lady who he was counseling that was dying of cancer and her lost ring. Here is the story and the center of Tolles teachings: http://manpreet-b.blogspot.com/2010/08/lost-ring-eckhart-tolle.html

Another good example for people in the teachings of the ego and our pain bodies, refer to a more entertaining example with the movie "Revolver" by Guy Richie.”
