“He has not been convicted of a crime in a Swiss court. There is no reason for him to be in prison there. They are only holding him awaiting extradition. Prison is for when/if he is returned to the US.”

“Most people held for extradition are not held in a Swiss Chalet. If that were the case it would pay to commit a crime in the USA, flee to Switzerland and beg them to hold you for extradition. They would be flooded with American fugitives turning themselves in.”
roshni replied on Nov 25, 2009 at 13:27:45
“His ability/inclination to flee is certainly a factor in deciding whether to grant bail. He has been a fugitive for decades. Bail is ridiculous in this case.”

“I drive. I used to fly at least once a year...sometimes several. I have flown only once since 9/11 and that was to France. You might call it my own personal boycott.
Last year, I drove from Virginia, all the way to North Dakota and back. This year I drove to Georgia and back. Next year I will be driving all the way to Miami and back. I refuse to be treated like an animal when I don't have to be.
Sure, it costs me additional money to travel that way, with hotels, gas and stuff, but I still feel pretty good about it. Plus, it's better for the overall economy.”

“Police lie all the time, and get away with it, simply because they can. It's to the point where i would believe a witness, before I would believe a cop. As far as "southerners" go? Well, They have a lot of that God stuff going on, and that seems to bring out the worst in so many people. Others have it, also, but southerners just have more than their fair share of it.”
