“Another video people should see is the film that legalized "Marihuana" during World War II.
Look up the 1942 USDA film, Hemp For Victory, to see what the United States has accomplished with legal weed.
If Marijuana can be legalized to support our troops in World War II, then Marijuana can be legalized to support our troops in the War on Terror and the War on Drugs, as well.”

“Hemp for Victory is a black-and-white film produced in 1942 by the USDA outlining a plan to distribute 400,000 lbs. of cannabis seeds to American farmers with the goal of producing 350,000 acres of cannabis by 1943 -- all for the war effort. The USDA even went as far as to urge 4-H clubs to grow at least half an acre, but preferably 2 acres of cannabis. All American farmers were required to see the film, sign a paper saying that they had viewed the film, and read a booklet on the matter. Farmers who agreed were waived from serving in the military, and all their family members were also exempt. They received farm equipment at a discounted price, and sometimes for free. However, before and after the war -- the same plant was considered "demon weed" and the killer of the same kids that were pressed into service to grow it during the war. Furthermore, the USDA and Library of Congress denied the creation or existence of such a film until 2 copies were found and sent in to the Library of Congress. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6234815658481845054#”

“Ginger White's song to Hermain and Gloria Cain
Lyrics to I'll Be The Other Woman :
I’ll be the other woman all your life
Just as long as I’m the only one other than your wife
Your wife, how would she feel if she caught us together?
The same way I would feel if I caught you with another
Home, I know, comes first
And second to that I'll be
But when you’re not there with her
I want you right here with me
I'll be the other woman
Just as long as I know
I’m the only other woman
You make love to”
“The timeline for withdrawal was set by Bush and adhered to by Obama. One of the main reasons for leaving now is that the Iraqi "government" won't extend an exemption for US forces from war crimes. There are over 100,000 documented civilians dead in Iraq and even more that will forever remain undocumented. The Republicans started this and the Democrats kept it going as planned. The corporate mass media and wealthy lobbies have done their part to keep the People of the United States divided in red and blue camps instead of pushing for us to unite against two corrupt parties that answer only to their highest bidders.
"We" didn't end the war. We the People, muzzled and shuffled along in a sad, lazy, arrogant, consumer culture allowed an illegal, preemptive invasion to occur. We the People allowed the legalization of torture. We the People allowed the bankruptcy of our country to come closer than anyone can remember. We the People have allowed numerous atrocities and other terrible mistakes to happen in our name, and the politicians who are supposed to answer to us have written laws exempting themselves from Our justice. These problems will still exist whether or not the American military is still in Iraq until We the People force our government to follow our rules.
Only when We the People - all of us - render George W. Bush and his sick cabinet to the Hague can we say that We the People did anything of worth.”

“As a soldier, Bradley Manning is subject to court-martial under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, not in civilian court.
This doesn't mean he shouldn't be charged, tried, and either convicted or absolved, but it works differently within the military.
Perhaps some journalists would care to look into how justice works in the military to help clarify it for the general public?”

“The UCMJ in no way allows for torture. They are torturing him. The manner in which the Obama administration is treating this man is designed to send a clear and compelling message to anyone else who might ponder for one moment the notion of exposing criminal behavior by corporate/military concerns.”
If cars can be made from hemp-based plastics, so can water bottles, CD cases, televisions, computers, coat hangers, and anything else sold at Wal-Mart. Truthfully, anything we use in day-to-day life that is not glass or metal can be made from Cannabis hemp.
And for anyone vehemently opposed to Cannabis legalization and production, perhaps the US Federal government's own legalization and production campaign from World War II would help to sway public opinion.
“Wouldn't it be amazing if the US Federal government legalized Marihuana to make equipment for the military? How would that go over with the right-wing, anti-drug crowd? "Marihuana growers are helping to keep the US free." Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?
“Now that is a subject that somehow got thrown out of history class, Hemp provides oil, cord, cloth, the list is just to long for here but you get the idea Right? Very Useful Plant Economically, Grows in most soil type, insect resistant wide range of weather condition's. But must not Allow the regular People to have this Devil weed. Alas they might smoke it! Or a Small family farm might produce enough seed to power his tractors truck and not need to buy any diesel fuel. Now I ask You People Where Would our Country Be Now! If They Had Left This Devil weed to thrive in the USA.
I find it funny that we have the means the resources and the land to, grow and cleanly refine enough oil to run a large part of the diesel engines in this country. And cut out the pollution those engines are producing. All from a Weed . Humm makes me think Follow the Money people.”

“What if we could be completely energy independent by growing a plant as a rotation crop which also reconditions the soil, abates weed growth and reduces soil erosion without any chemical fertilizers or pesticides required and even needs less water than normal crops? Growing hemp as a standard rotation crop would produce enough biomass energy to create more ethanol and biodiesel than we import from foreign oil producing counties. If we grew hemp continuously year round on 6% of American lands we could produce 100% of our domestic energy needs without any fossil fuels.”

“Has anyone bothered to notice how everyone outside the movement always wants the movement to dumb itself down to a 3-second soundbite or monosyllabic catch phrase? Did the Egyptian protesters have a slogan? And why can't anyone understand the demands of the movement? It is pretty simple. Corporate ownership of elected officials does not help our society. Any real enforcement of existing laws could help the voters regain control of our government.
Instead of attempting to limit the message of the movement to fit within the confines of their small minds, detractors should try to expand their minds enough to understand the totality of the movement.”

“During World War II, the USDA urged 16-years-olds in Highschool 4-H clubs to grow as much as two acres of Marihuana each to make equipment for the military fighting overseas. This was only five short years after every teenager in America was told that Marihuana was the worst drug menace ever known. Imagine how those students felt being told that if they didn't grow the world's most dangerous drug, the Nazis were going to come kill their family.
What were the negative side-effects in American society due to Cannabis legalization? Were all of those members of the "Greatest Generation" reduced to stoner hippie zombies? Did test scores fall across the board because everyone was getting high? Did productivity come to a halt because no one could get off the couch? No. Instead, the US defeated the Axis of Evil in a two-front world war, ended mass genocide and preserved democracy for future generations.”

“Don't say "defeated the Axis of Evil" to loudly because old man Koch would be offended since he supported Hitler in Germany before coming here to spread his evil. But I agree. Pot has a bad rap because of bottom-line reasons and not medical reasons. I bet if Congress and The FDA could have come up with better reasons than faking what they said about it they would have. Government agencies, as well as Congress, are in business for the benefit and protection of the biggest of tax payers and not us. The FDA is a huge culprit of that...”
“Perhaps we should explain to the elderly that the legalization, production and taxation of Marihuana was one of the main reasons why the US was a real force in World War II. Without Marihuana, the US Navy would have been useless and the rest of the military would have been bystanders.
The legalization of Marihuana provided the means for defeating the Axis of Evil, and the glorious celebrations after the war led to the Baby Boom, of which those elderly voters are a direct result.”

“It's fairly common knowledge that Marihuana was outlawed in 1937 as the worst drug menace ever. But has anyone ever heard of the 1942 USDA film, HEMP FOR VICTORY? It was a 14-minute instructional film made by the US Federal government after the attack on Pearl Harbor explaining to patriotic Americans how to cultivate and harvest Cannabis Sativa to make equipment for the war effort. Three minutes into the film there is shown a Special Tax Stamp which clearly reads in bold letters, PRODUCER OF MARIHUANA.
This means that MARIHUANA, the worst drug menace ever, was legalized and taxed to support our troops, defend our freedom and end mass genocide. Because of this fact, We the People should not tolerate our government putting us in cages for it.”

“This is nothing new. American corporate media are whores for profit, period. The nature of capitalism demands this, while properly informing the voters is repeatedly sacrificed for the almighty failing dollar. One of the most precise explanations out there of just how blatantly commercial American news outlets are, and how grotesque the dilemma really is and will continue to become, read The New Media Monopoly by Ben Bagdikian.
