Palin Wants To Interview Katie Couric, 'See 'If She's Learned Anything Yet About Alaska' (VIDEO)

“Palin's claim is that Katie Couric single-handedly took a brilliant woman who was fully qualified to be (Vice) President of the United states, with a powerful intellect, well-versed on all the issues, with intelligent policy proposals...
...and somehow made her look like an empty-headed fool.
If true, then Couric must be the most incredible journalist of time!! And all she had to do was to ask the most devious and underhanded question known to mankind: What do you read?”

“Why would a person apply for a job that they are not interested in performing? Or not capable of doing?
If you have a hard time reading legislation (even though you are provided with a staff of experts to help), or if you find the task to be too unpleasant, you are simply not cut out to be a legislator.
What people like Boener are saying is "I am not the least bit qualified for this job."”

Wasserman Shultz: GOP Has 'Politicized Breast Cancer' (VIDEO)
Commented Nov 22, 2009 at 21:33:32 in Politics
“Exactly. The medical profession has guidelines for all kinds of things, not just breast cancer.
Guidelines are always based on the best available research to date and are studied by a lot of experts before making recommendations.
Sure, if everybody had a complete physical, plus every blood test known to man, plus a full body MRI, plus EKGs, EEGs, and so on and so on every single month, more illnesses would be discovered earlier.
Of course it would be inconvenient, expensive, stressful for patients, and might not result in improved treatment or mortality rates.
So let's trust the medical profession to live up to their Hippocratic oath, and let's trust the politicians to...wait a minute.....let's just trust the doctors.”

“It has everything to do with diagnosing depression. She was getting benefits because she was suffering from depression. How could they possible cut off benefits without an actual examination to determine the current state of her depression?
You cannot diagnose "perfectly able to play" from a photograph either.
Working requires a commitment of about 40 hours a week, each and every week. Having a photograph taken requires about 1/60 of a second.
I have a feeling you have never known someone who suffers from depression. It's not something that shows every moment of the day like chicken pox. Please try to become more knowledgeable about this topic.”

“First question: If we were to slide down the slippery slope that you mention, what would we find at the bottom? Healthy, happier people and a stronger economy? Just curious.
Second question: Since when is "not having to pay for something undesirable via taxes" a right? The whole "what taxes are used for" thing is one of the most basic structures of our Republic. For federal taxes, the people elect representatives to the House and Senate, majority rules in both houses (and sometimes super-majority rules in the Senate) and the President signs. As long as no taxes go towards paying for anything illegal or unconstitutional, the rights of the people have been 100% respected.
It's taxation WITH representation. One of the reasons our country was founded. Look it up.
Third question: You refer to "the people desiring healthcare". Isn't that about 99.999% of us? (The exception being some Christian Scientists.)”
