“I see a few valid points here, esp. regarding the most important of all, the economy. It's really a no-win situation. If the Pres is re-elected and things don't improve enough to suit certain people it will be Obama's fault. If Romney is elected and things don't improve, he will blame Obama even though Obama is no longer "allowed" to blame g-dubya.
So if things improve under Romney will Obama get any credit? Of course not. The simple fact is it wouldnt matter who was Pres the last 4 years or maybe even the next 4. The damage was done. Obama inherited the biggest economic disaster since the depression and in some ways it was worse. Do you really think that can be repaired in 4 short years? It took GW 8 years to erase the surplus created by Clinton and wreck the economy and it will take at least that long to get back on a decent footing. Unfortunately that takes additional spending and stimulus as it did in the 1930's.
If anyone believes Romney is our economic savior, good luck. It reminds me of the 80's. For some reason today Reagan is revered as some great President. What a joke. The 80's sucked big time unless you were in a hair band. But that was Jimmy Carter's fault, right? 12 years it took from 1980 to 1992 before the economy improved. What party was in the White House then?”
