“Private corps have that right. I dont like it but they do. At least until people wake up and pass laws to stop it. As far as for recipients it's not worse but we do have some control over that? Yes. Our money. Drug test Congress first. Then if that works out we can talk about the welfare, ok?”

“Why? A majority of Americans want it legal outright. Maybe not in Utah yet but even there this story shows, it is a matter of time. There's many real uses for this plant that are lifesaving, once you realize of one situation as these kids? Well then it's a lifetime of realizing how much cannabis needs to be legal and available. These days I am meeting many more Conservatives and Christians who know the truth about cannabis.”

Commented Jan 4, 2012 at 03:03:49 in Politics

“He can't? He just did. The MILITARY TOP BRASS DOES NOT HONOR THE CODE, THEY USE UNIFORMS FOR PRO-WAR CAMPAIGNS. Leave the soldier alone.”

Justaminute on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:20:27

“Well, yes he did. And he will suffer the consequences too. After all the job of soldier is to fight in our wars. Otherwise why would we need him? You know he is not a slave, if he has 10 years service, he could have left after 4, he rejoined twice, the entire time a war was going on.”

Jesse Thorsen, Ron Paul Supporter, Appears To Violate Military Uniform Protocol In Iowa

Commented Jan 4, 2012 at 03:02:09 in Politics

“The CODE IS BUNK IF THE MILITARY DOESN"T HONOR IT THEMSELVES. They parade soldiers for pro-war campaigns all the time. See GEORGE W. BUSH and the air carrier.”

MikeHermit on Jan 4, 2012 at 07:21:03

“Let me say this slowly so you understand it. The President is the Commander in Chief. That means he is the boss, he is the head of the chain of command. He wants to do a photo-op on an air craft carrier, he does a photo op on an air craft carrier. While he needs congressional aproval to go to war he does not need their aproval in how the war is executed, except by law and constitution.”

Nell608 on Jan 4, 2012 at 05:17:40

“When a President - Bush or Obama - has an event with the military it is not a partisan political occasion. The President is the Commander in Chief and goes to a base to honor or thank those who serve. It may look the same to you but there is a decided difference in what is said and a President will never be asking for members of the military to vote for them. Members of the military may also want photos but they are asking their Commander in Chief, not backing him for election. Mike, you seem to have forgotten that the President has a professional role when dealing with the military but he would never campaign at a base and the troops must be out of uniform to attend partisan political events where they are giving their support to a candidate or office holder.”

mightytonkatruc on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:28:07

“This is different ... he was their commander-in-chief and he wasn't running for office, he already stole it.”

Justaminute on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:13:25

“Well you do know soldiers join the Military to fight in our wars don't you? Sorry, we haven't had a draft in a long time.”

PollyTics on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:06:10

“As I said to you before, George Bush hadn't served in many years, this military code has to do with ACTIVE DUTY soldiers.

Your anger is vastly misplaced...if you don't like their laws, please see the Secretary of the Army or write to the Pentagon as they are the ones who set and enforce such laws, not anyone in here.”

“This is what Lefty fascism looks like? Against the anti-war soldier who has served? Want to take his rights away and punish him for daring to make a big statement? For saying enough is enough? Nobody with an IQ over 50 thinks this soldier is representing anybody but himself. Funny I see plenty of SOLDIERS IN UNIFORM at politician PRO-WAR PROPAGANDA photo ops. Memba Bush with the Jet Carrier? That's ok, though!”

Keith Jigleeottee on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:39:17

“Lefty fascism...really. Must be a Paul Cultist”

mightytonkatruc on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:30:37

“Reagan was my commander-in-chief and we knew it was against regs to wear our uniform to political events. Left and right has nothing to do with it. It's been in the UCMJ for a long, long time.”

DanoX on Jan 4, 2012 at 03:18:42

“He violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice idiot. When in uniform you do not have freedom of speech because you are speaking on behalf of the military. When you see military members in uniform at a "Pro-War Propaganda" it is because they are being addressed by their Commander in Chief. Bush on the carrier was not "ok". It was a travesty of true propaganda. They made that carrier turn circles off the coast to get the best lighting, wasting fuel and delaying the sailor's reunions with their families nearly a day. And nobody is against this soldier being for Ron Paul. He just can't do it in uniform. It is ILLEGAL! Is that clear enough for you!?”

PollyTics on Jan 4, 2012 at 02:46:33

“It has to do with active duty soldiers...Bush hadn't "served" for a very long time.”

Justaminute on Jan 4, 2012 at 02:45:09

“He can talk all he wants too, he just can't in uniform. This is the military, you know the greatest forces on earth. The politician photo ops with the troops are on base. If Paul wants a pic with them, he needs to go their too.”

PollyTics on Jan 4, 2012 at 02:42:14

“WHAT in the world are you talking about? Lefty fascism? Want to take away his rights?

I'm sorry Mike, but didn't you read the article and policies of the military regarding supporting a politician while in uniform? It is against the Military's own code...so please take your fascist name calling elsewhere.”

“The office of president requires that you deal with people you may find unpleasant. It requires you handle insults and insinuations. Look at what Obama has tolerated during his presidency. If Ron Paul were president, could he handle all of the evil, bad words, threats, lies and cynicism that president Obama has? Would he walk out in disgust instead?”

I think all Democrats should support Ron Paul or any sensible republican that might run. You can still support the Dems in the end but nothing wrong with supporting those of the right like myself, who are not registered Republicraps that also support many of the same issues like on this. I'm not with the Democrats or Republicans but support the rare candidates of either party or third party who stand up on issues like this. I'm with you all on this. Thanks John Cusick, you speak for the true heart of both parties and the non voters who are close to a majority...”
