“Wow, how dare the Justices of the Supreme Court interrupt a carefully crafted, lawyerly presentation! Maybe they should just wait silently for the presentations to complete and then grade each one A - F, with a possible gold star for margins and penmanship.
When a judge hears what he thinks is BS or does not fully understand the point the lawyer is trying to make of course he/she should interrupt with a question! If not then why bother with a live appearance? Why not just "mail them in"?”
