I don't care what anyone believes, though it would be nice to see some of them live by their religion, but I should not be bound legally by their religion. IF they want to declare abortion is wrong fine, but my actions should not be bound by their theology.
As for the Pilgrims DNA being bound in America, I doubt it. We haven't gotten to the stage of killing those who disagree with our theology like the pilgrims did to many and attempted to do to Roger Williams. The pilgrims were every bit as intolerent of differing religions as the churches they fled in England. The notion that in the US we must dance to someone elses faith is abhorrent.”

1. Obama won a majority of the electoral college and the popular vote. Bush got the White House by a Supreme Court decision so questionable the Court said themselves it was not to be considered precedent.

2. Obama has sought bipartisanship so scrupulously that he hasn't gotten very much done in 9 months. Bush rammed his agenda down peoples' throats as if he had the biggest mandate in the world.

3. Obama has at least considered closing Gitmo and ending enhanced interrogation. Bush opened Gitmo, allowed memos to be sent encouraging the guards at Abu Ghraib to torture inmates there, and sought out attorneys who could provide justification for the use of enhanced interrogation.

4. Obama voted against the unjustified war in Iraq. Bush lied to get it started.

I could go on.

This false equivalency angers me, because unlike Obama, Bush did a lot to rouse the rage of protesters. Obama leans backward so far to be conciliatory that he often frustrates those on the left who would like him to be more decisive.”
