I observed this first hand in my late father's dementia. "Kill ourselves"? Yikes! That's an extremely harsh stance to take on someone for being a disagreeable old man. I treasured every moment with my father, honored to accept and care for him as he was, even though his thinking became regressive and confused near the end. If he'd killed himself, I would have died inside. You condemn Mr. Lewis for his intolerance, yet you show intolerance for a clearly ailing old man.”
