I just don't see how the US can continue to fund these foreign wars. Its destroying our future. It is time for Europe to realize that they are much closer and much more exposed to Muslim Extremism than the US is. We need to get Europe to support Europe's defense.

“Actually, Obama is one of the scariest presidents in recent history. He states in his CNN interview, that he doesn't base his decisions on whether or not they will help him with re-electability but rather on whether they are in his mind, the right decision under the circumstances.
In short, Obama is a crusader! I don't think we have had a true crusader as an effective president since FDR.
The thought of a President who wants to do what HE THINKS is right, regardless of whether that decision is in the best interest of his reelection is abhorrent to the American people. We expect our politicians to mere creature of self-interest. In some ways, you can argue that our national fabric is dependent on it.
Where is the voice of the people if Obama is going to do what HE THINKS is right even if it means we fire him in four years?
Fortunately, with short 4 year terms and a 2 year term limit, our Constitution protects us from long term exposure to a crusader President.”

“Your argument feels twisted to me. Obama was elected by the majority of the people. When he says he is not working for re-election he is talking to the people, his Summertime Soldiers, who supported him during the election (time of hope and dreams) and are now impatient with the pace of change (please do the research and see all that he has done really). He is not talking to his detractors, he is talking to those who elected him and are upset that he has not been more like Bush who rushed in where angels feared to tread. Obama very way of operating, taking his time, listening to all the arguments and viewpoints and then making a decision IS change. Change is right there to see if we look below the headlines.”

When a national government fails in these obligations under international law, other nations have the right to step in to defend themselves.
Both Afghanistan and Pakistan have governments that failed in the past to uphold their obligations under international law.”

“I live in NJ. and I'm so sick sick sick of my Federal Tax money being paid out in WELFARE to these states who are so backwards socially, economically, politically, education, infrastructure and just about every other demographic you can imagine. These states would have the economies of Poland or Slovakia if their economies weren't subsidized by my tax money.
What I'm talking about is how the Fed Government spreads the wealth around. For every dollar of Federal Taxes paid from NJ in 2005, the Fed only spent 61 cents in NJ! This makes NJ the biggest WELFARE PAYER in the country.
Alaska receives $1.83 back from the Fed per dollar paid making Alaska one of the biggest welfare states. Utah received $1.07. What is amazing is that all the states that Voted McCain, except for Texas are WELFARE STATES. http://www .taxfounda tion.org/t axdata/sho w/266.html. I'm not saying they were empty promises.. .
I'm proud of my country winning the Nobel Peace Prize...
But I think we all know (even the biggest ObamaHeads have to agree) that this award was more deserving of someone who did more to make a tangible and definite change.
If you really don't believe that, than I think you've lost the point of what winning an award is worth. Yes, I know you've watched the video and apparently Nobel's will helped support this choice... but I still can't help but believe that this was premature.”

WHY doesn't the middle class realize that private for profit "health insurance" is just one more scam the elite use to transfer wealth from the middle class upward to the wealthy?
Just where do you think those profits end up? I'll tell you, they end up in the pockets of rich executives and share holders. Meanwhile, all the premium payers get is bad service, denial of claims, increases in rates and decreases in coverages.
I'm just sick of the middle class defending the ways they get robbed and exploited by the rich. Trust me, the RICH DON'T NEED OUR HELP, THEY CAN LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES.”

If you read the legal opinion. The Bush admin. claimed water boarding is not torture if it is used for legitimate intelligence gathering purpose. The intent of the interrogator somehow makes this torture acceptable.
The reality is that Bush Admin believed that Torture was necessary, that torture was acceptable and that it was in the best interest of America. Realizing that the American People might reach a different conclusion, they decided to focus on convincing people that water boarding is not torture.”

“Whats most scary is that no one wants to teach teens to think for themselves and make their own decision when armed with all the facts about safe sex and how unplanned pregnancy can screw up your life at that age. Also someone needs help teens understand that there are many pleasurable ways to interact with each other that doesn't involve intercourse.
Teens may not have the same decision making ability as adults, but that just means that the adults in their lives need to try harder to put the facts out there, not deny them all together.
Also if you are a parent, encourage your daughter to keep engaged in sports. Girls needs self esteem and confidence to fight off the advances of losers like Levi Johnson.”

“I'm not so eager to say that Levi Johnson is a "loser". If he was in a different environment, outside of Alaska, and given intensive catch-up education, he'd have a good chance of making it. Right now we have, as a nation, a 30% high school drop out rate. I bet it is higher in Alaska. Most of these kids aren't "dumb", they just haven't seen the connection between education and success in life.
Self-esteem does, of course, help a teen not engage in any activity that is harmful or that he/she does not want to do. But even people with high self-esteem have raging hormones and fall into that ring of burning fire called love.”
