there were NO ONCOLOGISTS on the panel. Were any

“I would not eat the ACTIVIA. All hype!! Read the ingredients. I am a yogurt eater ever since it
came on the market in the USA. Try Fage GREEK YOGURT if you can find it. Plain. It only
contains cultures and milk -- no fructose or artificial ingredients. I do not eat any yogurt that
has "dead fruit" in it. Brown Cow plain or Stonyfield Farms are fine if you cannot find FAGE --
but only PLAIN.”

“This is a very interesting article. I have no health problems. My "diet" consists of pure yogurt (without any additives), tea, sometimes fresh orange juice and KASHI cereal with milk for breakfast. I eat one other meal in the day -- either lunch or dinner. It would be fish (Salmon) and vegetables. I am never hungry, have boundless energy, weigh 115 and sleep only four hours in any twenty-four. I do not expect anyone
to follow my plan, but I never eat anything with fructose, palm oil, etc. I never drink soft drinks or eat at
fast food places.”

“Well, thanks for the suggestion. (this happened eons ago). Work mate was sexually
involved with one of the Senior Partners at the law firm and would sit at her desk reading books ("waiting to take dictation") and at Christmas she painted wooden ornaments
at her desk. It would do no good to talk to her or Personnel. I have no "witchcraft"
and was just joking. Pure coincidence, no? It was not "all about me" -- the rest
of the staff was just as put off by her as I was. She was a former "rock star" groupie.”

“This may not have been "positive thinking" but it worked just the same. Years ago my husband
had a difficult boss and was really hoping he'd get a salary increase. I told him to go into the
boss's office when he was out and tape a piece of paper beneath his boss's chair with the amount of
raise he wanted. A few days later the boss called him in and told him he was getting a raise --
yes, the amount on the paper. Also, once I red-dotted a person in our office group who did
not pull her weight. I put a dot on a calendar and said by that date she would be gone. Yes,
the date came and she left the firm. I was known as a "witch" and asked for more red-dotting.
But, success cannot be taken for granted. I did have POWER for a time!”

Artos replied on Sep 07, 2009 at 16:23:57

“Sounds like crazy talk to me. I knew a young woman years ago who used to tell me she was a witch and I think that she really believed it. I thought after awhile that she was really out there.”

vrndavan replied on Sep 07, 2009 at 13:55:26

“is this really positive thinking for the greater change for all? again...self-centric nonsense.

wouldn't have trying to let your work mate know that she needed to "pull her weight", be more beneficial for everyone involved? or were you just trying to practice your witchery on someone? or making the situation all about you?

Does positive thinking/action always have to have a negative reaction on someone else?”

The Health Care Debate the Media Missed

The Health Care Debate the Media Missed

Commented Aug 20, 2009 at 16:14:11 in Living

“Why are drugs advertised on TV and in magazines?. Only the United States and New Zealand do this.
Were they not advertised I am certain drugs would be less costly. Case in point: A medicine I use
costs $85 for a tiny bottle -- if I did not have insurance. With insurance it costs me $35. I was in
France recently and ran out of my medicine. Had the empty box. Did not need a prescription. Pharmacist said: "You have glaucoma and need this." I received the medicine and paid $21. Any comments?”

Hank007 replied on Aug 20, 2009 at 16:28:56

“The advertising has no impact on drug prices. We pay more for drugs than any other country because our government has been paid to allow the drug companies to gouge us.”

The Health Care Debate the Media Missed

Commented Aug 20, 2009 at 16:08:02 in Living

“I made this suggestion to my Congressman's representative: If the bill is over 1200 pages long
and they do not have time to read it: HIRE some law students who are SPEED READERS and
divide it up into 100 pages each for summarization. When I worked at a law firm we had people who
summarized depositions. I used to summarize business articles for my boss to read -- I read
very quickly. Thus, they could have summarized pages (CONGRESS) so they'd know what
was in the bill.”

Where are their comments???? And, I mean EVERY DENOMINATION.”

wendy31 replied on Jun 11, 2009 at 19:35:05

“I was wondering that, too. It's because there is no such thing as moderate religion. One is either crazy and believes in fairy tales or they don't. Their stories and doctrines that run their lives are far more important than ever admitting a hand in wrong doing. Because "good christians" are "good" "true christians" would never do something like this. I'm so sick of hearing that junk. Religion is ALWAYS the problem, through out history and at the core of every problem. If you check, you'll find religion.”

“When my daughter was 3 she said to my husband and me: "Mothers and Dads are Santa,
aren't they?" I said "yes." She accepted that and it was over. I think the Santa Myth is
a load of garbage anyhow and glad she figured it out for herself. I have always believed
in telling the truth to children. Same story with sex: At 3 she knew all about parts of
the body and having babies. BUT, she was told not to relay this information to her
friends, whose parents may not believe in truth. One day she was on the porch talking
to a little friend who told her: "My Mommy has a baby in her tummy." She came storming
into the house and told me: "SHE KNOWS NOTHING OF THE WOMB!"”

stagebandman replied on Dec 25, 2008 at 22:16:24

“Imagination as a child opens up doors to creativity. If we continue to squash every mirthful belief of young children, we have given up the future of art. When a child stops believing in Santa, let them, but also tell them that other children to not feel the same, and they should not ruin their Christmases by speaking up. If we stop believing in things we cannot see, the world becomes a very dry and mundane place. with no color or music.

I've yet to meet a 3 year old who knows so much without the influence of cynical parents. And that's a real shame. I feel sorry for your daughter, she's probably has no dreams.”
