“so now women are being punished for the crimes of others. that school is supposed to be protecting the children already. if they had adequate security no children would be in danger. shame on the diocese punishing the victim!!!!!”

“Just like gun owners are being punished for the crimes of a few”
BHOfan on Jun 17, 2013 at 14:13:42
“You're complaining because this woman was "punished for the crimes of others"? Ha -- sort of like original sin? Well, isn't it? Religious folks are truly delusional.”
“I know how these people feel. We already had trouble with people walking along the side of our house, coming into the yard and "borrowing" things! But the city and the state are adding 2 lanes, and filling in the ditch. We are losing our driveway, and our fence, so now the road edge will be a sidewalk away from the road edge. (one that will now be needed to get from the driveway in the back to the front door) So hey, now they will be able to walk along and peer into our kitchen and the windows on that side of the house as they stand a few feet away from my house while still on road edge. Instead of throwing beer bottles at and over my fence, they will be able to use my windows for target practice at a distance that even a 5 year old could not miss the glass. No more double insulated windows for us, no doubt, I will be lucky to have windows that are not broken.”

“not rich enough to qualify for the immigration, and i have no relatives in canada (that would help). i would love to move there. (except i would probably free to death before i figured out how to deal with temperatures......... i live by the gulf of mexico......... deep south, virtually no winter)”

“That is the problem, the current president has been putting a large number of executive orders that have been wiping out our constitutional rights right and left. It will rapidly become time for all taxpayers to seek politcal asylum in other nations...............LOL (I hope by then that the land of the free will still be the land of the free to leave................ instead of be a hostage.)”

“yes, but he and his appointees did not immediately start taking huge groups of more than 300 to europe on tax payer flights and taxpayer accommodations at really pricey places with expensive parties , darling!!!!!! and neither should this guy or his people.
let him go to camp david etc like people of the past and i did not even mention the jillion golfing trips for obama............ just the hoards of people they hauled to europe and paid everything for out of my middle class taxes that went up”
buzz2012 on Nov 12, 2012 at 08:32:58
“Amazing to me how when someone objects to the actions of the President or the Congress, it is paid for by "their" tax dollars. Think about this - maybe it was "my" tax dollars to pay for those trips, and your tax dollars was used to fund the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I pray this is so, I certainly do not want those atrocities on my conscience!”
Nov 12, 2012 at 07:55:15
“the same way reagan was elected twice.................... we are tired of the claim to tax the rich, then raise the taxes on middle class.............
and the taxing a whole jet across the country for one woman under obama & taxes paid for it over and over
and the multiple trips to all over europe of michelle obama and 350 friends. on the taxpayer dime............. if i have to pay for someone going to europe, i should be the one going, not some herd of people............. that go immediately after he went into office on the taxpayer dime...
people were not voting for bush but against extravagant waste by democrats while they controls the senate and house over and over all those years”

“she is white...................... ergo............. no right to speech
besides if you have been following things............ we have recently lost a bunch of our constitutional rights”
teeleecee on Nov 12, 2012 at 08:03:41
“Oh, I've been following things. Down in the US, you have the Patriot Act in effect, and you have pre-crime (aka...you MIGHT commit an offense) laws in effect. There is definitely a chill in the air. Perhaps it's time to revise the constitution since it seems those particular rules no longer apply. ”

“well friend, i am not rich, and every time they say they will tax the rich to put in some program....... they raise my taxes. and in this state we have charity hospitals that we the state taxpayers already pay for to help the poor, and medicine free and all kinds of other stuff....... so why should my fed. taxes go up to hire irs people to collect penalties on the people that refuse to buy insurance??? cause that is all the 1000 pages of obamacare did, that and say......... gee, over 55 and you get sick, tough all you get is comfort care (a bottle of aspirin).”
Nov 12, 2012 at 07:39:42
“yes, but if he calls himself black, then he can cry racist if any white disagrees with him........... they are racist. but if you don't agree with a black persons opinion, then you are racist. but you can call for the annihilation of all white when you are black and that is not racist...
the yelling racist thing, is also a big joke. it is used by people like they are spoiled children, to demand whatever they want................ (and if we don't get what we want lets riot and loot). you don't see whites rioting and looting because they did not get the person they wanted elected. the rioting and looting thing is just an excuse to STEAL (and for the record, it is not all blacks.......... probably a small minority. but the racist, racist, racist, thing gets old.......... and sadly........ the times it might be true get overlooked for the huge number of silly ones............like she just failed me cause i am black (when the kid had only one answer on the test paper, and the whole class is black and obviously not all or even most failing just a few silly kids that play around)”

“I do not approve of her language nor her desire for a presidential assassination, but I do think Obama should pay for his own vacations and those of his family and the friends that they take along on the taxpayers dime. And I think he ought to quit wasting the taxpayers money on junk legislation. The obamacare legislation is a joke, it does nothing except people to buy their own insurance, and penalize them with fees if they don't................ AND REQUIRES THE HIRING OF A HOARD OF PEOPLE FOR THE IRS TO TRACK PEOPLE AND IF THEY BUY INSURANCE AND COLLECT THE PENALTIES. Gee, there were better ways to increase jobs without charging us more taxes to hire people to chase after people who don't buy insurance. And wasted a billion trees to print the thousand page documents that no wil can or will read......................... TYPICAL DEMOCRAT TAX AND SPEND.... say they are taxing the rich, then raise the taxes on the middle class................. what a joke. while congress smiles and gets their automatic raises.”
noteabags on Nov 12, 2012 at 07:36:46
“"but I do think Obama should pay for his own vacations"
George W. Bush, was on vacation more — 1,020 days — than any U.S. President since Herbert Hoover and possibly more than any other President in history.
Even President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who was in office 12 years from 1933 to 1945, was on vacation less days than President Bush at 958 days. Calls to several Presidential Libraries reveal that no President can come close to Bush’s 1,020 days on vacation in an 8 year period.”
“Schools should stick with issues more important to the education of the kids than the color of a violin. Is there a shortage of textbooks, bullying of students, children without school supplies, children that need tutoring, school scores that need to be improved, overcrowded classrooms, outdated technology? Aren't these much more important than the color of a violin? Put the kid on the back row during orchestra public performances and be done with the issue.”
CA Maestro on Sep 15, 2012 at 14:44:39
“You could apply that same argument to a lot of issues, including dress code and any number of peripheral elements of student life. The only reason it's a 'big' issue is because someone decided to contact the media, and thanks to the internet - it is now national news. STuff like this happens all the time in schools.”
hellyon3too on Sep 15, 2012 at 12:31:17
“Part of education is learning to follow the rules, even if they don't seem to make sense. There's also the issue of learning to work with a group, and being a part of that group, rather than always having to stand out.
Being in an orchestra means learning how an orchestra functions, and how to put aside your own personal desires for the betterment of the group. It's not just about learning one instrument.
You can't just stick someone in the back row during performances. The violinists all sit together and in a specific area for a reason. The only people who should stand out are the soloists. Soloists should never be upstaged, and definitely they should not be upstaged by a purple violin.”
“Why should Democrats complain about mistaken facts in a story when their television ads have blatant lies in them. When their ad says that Romney pays LESS taxes than we do, is obviously a lie. He may pay a lower percentage, but I frankly do not pay millions in taxes and neither do any of the biased people that are going want to be sarcastic or scream at me for this post. Don't bother to reply to me because I am going to delete you anyway!!!”
luckyann on Aug 20, 2012 at 22:01:32
“The tax system is based on percentages though -- I mean we have a graduated tax system and he paid (according to him) an astoundingly low percentage for a multi millionaire (my family also makes a great deal and pays a far far higher percentage). I disagree that that is a blatant lie since it is an accepted and known fact that our tax system is based on graduated percentages.”
“You got me there. If there was anything incorrect about when boys are done, it is probably totally an error on my part. I am under the impression from previous comments that it is not done in the hospital, but maybe that is incorrect also. (But if it is done there, then why would it be "unsanitary" and "dangerous" as was alluded to by previous commentor. But hey, I have several jewish friends living in another state, I am now curious enough so I think I will try to work my question politely into the conversation. There is no point in remaining ignorant, IF you can get the facts. But thanks for the inquiry........ I could have stayed ignorant forever without knowing it...........LOL. (But hey, I would not have been alone if I had, as there are many who never confuse themselves with facts.)”
“I cannot speak for jewish people or about their religion. But when my sons were circumcized............. the jewish faith did not demand that my sons have to follow their tenants............ just so some jewish person did not use other methods. (they did not politic against hospital or doctors office procedures and force everyone to follow their rules, so I personally would NOT interfer with their faith practices............ but I suspect if I were jewish, I would be a bad wife as my son would be done in the hospital as an infant and my husband would be aware after it was fact OR it would not be done at all.)”
filmfreak1982 on Jul 5, 2012 at 16:19:02
“Hmm, that's news to me. I've heard over the years that if a boy is born in a Jewish family, his religion requires that he be circumcised at birth. Given what you've said, does this only apply to Orthodox Jews?”
“Every year my taxes are increased more to pay for the medical care for welfare people, and to cover the birth of their babies. I pay the premiums for my medical insurance, and I have the right to availability of birth control medicine, instead of having that be denied so some catholic woman MIGHT think twice about getting birth control. So by your reasoning, I am female............. I therefore do not get erections, so to heck with all the men who have viagra (for their pleasure) paid for by medical insurance. By your logic, better that a woman die in child birth than prevent the birth of an unwanted child. By your logic it is much better for women to get pregnant and abuse their children or have abortions RATHER than birth control to be covered by health insurance that I pay premiums to purchase. I have plenty of understanding about health costs.............. all the people that don't bother to go to a doctor and then run to the emergency room and don't pay the bill................ run up health costs. All that viagra runs up health care. The birth of all the babies that would normally be avoided runs up health care costs. Open your eyes and stop trying to regulate the rights of others for your own religious dictates.”
“It was Catholic women -- supposedly offended--- not Christian women. There are plenty of us Christian women that are NOT OFFENDED. We are offended by the Catholic church stepping on OUR RIGHTS to try to CONTOL Catholic women that may want to stray from their doctrine. (That damages the rights of People of Other Religions and Atheists alike.)”
“Frankly, I am not an athiest, and I too do not like have the beliefs of the Catholic church imposed on me. Demanding that insurance companies not pay for birth control under the claim that them doing so would be to violate the rights of Catholic women (Implies it would force to take birth control, which it does not.) What is actually being done by the Catholic demands is to totally disregard the rights of anyone who is not catholic, in a bid to force Catholic that might stray from doctrine to be less able to do so. It is totally tantamount to saying that NO ONE has any rights but that of the Catholic Church to determine the lives of all people....... NOT JUST Catholics. (Basically, betray the rights of other americans so we can keep straying catholic women in line. What a crock of bull.) It was enough of an invasion of our rights when school cafeterias forced seafood on children every Friday and all during Lent for years. That totally disregarded childred who were allergic to seafood. Frankly, that endangered the lives of those children to prevent a straying catholic child from having to go to confession for forgetting not to eat seafood one time and doing penance. Heaven forbid, it is so much worse for that little slip than putting a child in the hospital or killing them....... when they discover an allergy.”
filmfreak1982 on Jun 30, 2012 at 13:26:53
“The Jewish religion does the same thing with circumcision. Allegedly, Jewish "law" requires that all baby Jewish boys be circumcised. However, the methods used are highly unsanitary. Many babies have died from infections. They endanger the lives of newborn boys every day.”
jtltboilrs on Jun 30, 2012 at 12:53:33
“Demanding that an institution pay for someone's birth control is okay then? You want something? Pay for it yourself. If you have a sniffle pay your own way. Most people have zero understanding of the costs associated with the health system.”
“If these obnoxious brats were suspended for a week or two, their parents might decide to start raising them to behave instead of act like animals. I hope the little brats parents saw their children and were proud of what a wonderful job they did raising animals instead of respectful people.”
“Well that said, then lets throw out or make TALL MEN pay for two seats, because I have been repeatedly stuck by tall buys that spread their legs out and take ALL the leg room in front of my seat, and when you ask them to move over a bit they get really nasty and refuse to move. At least with the fat person, the arm rests keep them mostly on their side of the seat. The tall guys.............. heck they take over the world and that puts their thighs in your seat just like a heavy person.”
