“The only problem is, Daniel, that even the most loquacious and erudite constitutional esquire would still have to overcome the vacuous and nefarious SCOTUS... An arduous (nay unfeasible) task!”

“Plus, you could have used the original actors as basically being "dramatizations" of his story. If you then used a different person to play "old Robin" (like perhaps Wendie Malick?), that would have made that whole last moments with Ted and Robin REALLY surreal and interesting!!”

“Let's not forget, though, the season 4 (i.e., trinity killer) finale. IMO, that episode rivals the "Who Shot JR?" episode for greatest OMG season finales of all time!”

Enough with the Sochi horror stories already

“This assessment of Russia definitely comports with my experiences there--crazy, yet unforgettable. Might I also add that anyone who would drink the tap water in Russia has way more cajones than I, and I've "hard traveled" around the world (including spending the night on the street in Hong Kong and in a Gert in Mongolia, to name just a few). I ate a hot dog from a street vendor in Moscow and didn't leave the bathroom for a week. Drinking non-bottled water in most places in Eastern Europe sounds like suicide to me.”

Borrowed Time: The World at 65

“One of the longest and most satisfying op-eds I have read through in awhile. Very sobering indeed.

Being a young man, the child of an almost 65-er, I am often left to wonder, as I learn how the last century has so shaped the world in which we now live, what my generation is to do.

We have been left with a mess that nobody is ready and/or able to confront. However, being the product of a lackadaisical quarter century makes me worried that my generation is hopelessly unprepared for what is going to be asked of us. We have been trained not for manual labor or personal responsibility, but to expect everything for doing nothing. We have never been asked to step up to do anything that is beyond our own immediate self interest. We have been raised in a fantasy world of television, movies, games, and now the internet. We wrap ourselves in these things like safety blankets or metaphorical wombs. How can I expect my generation to exhibit the necessary maturity and openness to confront reality if I cannot even attain that clarity myself?

So, I guess my question to you is: What the hell are we supposed to do? and How?”

“The worst is DEFINITELY Trent Edwards....
It wasn't the worst looking (that's Carl Lewis IMO), but he is a QB for Christ sake! He should be able to throw a baseball 60 feet and get it close to the catcher.

His is the worst because of who he is...plain and simple....Only thing worse I could think of would be if someone like Barry Bonds threw out the opening pitch and didn't throw a perfect strike.”
