Keith Bardwell Explains Refusal To Perform Interracial Marriage (VIDEO)

“There are those who will never get over like-me-ism (or not-like-me-ism, depending which way you look at it) but some of them will always insist their minds are open and their intentions are just. Still, in America, where "all men are created equal" is one of our most fundamental tenets, and our PRESIDENT is from just such a marriage, it's tempting to wonder how a magistrate can have such an obvious contempt for our Constitution and our oft-lauded status as the world's melting pot.

Want to know how to deal with racist remarks and actions? There's a great video embeded into: http://wp.me/pbSfp-af which focuses on the basic fact that when a person acts in a way you find unacceptable you should hold them accountable for those actions.

In other words, if a guy steals your car you don't chase him down to check out how he feels about it deep in his soul, or what he thinks about theft, you chase him down to hold him accountable for his actions - and hopefully prevent him from repeating the act.”

“UPON ENTERING GOVERNMENT, VALERIE JARRETT DIVESTED ALL HER REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT HOLDINGS EXCEPT FOR A SINGLE INVESTMENT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OLYMPIC BID.

Valerie Jarrett divested all her investment real estate holdings upon entering government except for a single real estate holding that she was unable to sell. This single real estate investment has been determined by White House Counsel and the independent Office of Government Ethics to present no conflict of interest in performing her duties as a White House advisor. It has nothing to do with the Olympic bid.

Why would we want to elect (or re-elect) somebody who doesn't believe government can be a postive force dealing with problems? The only reason they can have for running is self-aggrandizement and greed if they don't believe in the value of the role.”

“It was about time for him to depart from his advisors, they are the ones who got him into the predicament he's in, picking Palin and using phrases such as "That one!" To stay on the same plan would have been the end of his influence in DC, and the antithesis of leadership.

Sure, some vocal folks on the far right are going to howl, just as some extremists on the left will continue their over-the-top nonsense, but if McCain didn't want to go down in history as a man advised into utter foolishness he had to act to reset his rhetoric and reclaim his campaign. http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/10/09/final-month-can-mccain-regain-control-of-his-campaign-or-will-attacks-reign/

“Too late. I once had an idea that McCain was an honorable man, that his experiences as a POW had taught him all the important things in life. But there is hardly an ideal he once proclaimed that he has not now betayed. To be too weak to stand up to his advisors is too weak to be president. And his campaign has descended into an uglier carnival of bigotry than anyone would have thought possible. I mourn for the reawakened ugliness of the pre-civil rights era, I mourn my lost image of him,”

“I'll believe it when I see it.

Republican operatives working on behalf of Coleman distorted video of Franken telling a story that David Wellstone told him about his father Paul Wellstone — a story about how Paul would run alongside his son during David’s cross-country matches and encourage him all the way to the finish line. As Al retells the story that David told him, he offers an animated impression of Paul’s uniquely enthusiastic personal style that Minnesotans loved so much.

And the Republicans who do Coleman's dirty work took that video and converted it into a smear.

Norm's in deep trouble in the polls and in the hearts of MN voters, as his demeanor - and reactions - at the recent debate revealed. http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/audacious-comedian-out-polls-incumbent-us-senator-in-battleground-state/

“There are many other celebrities, why use the two young sexy starlets in the comparison? And why NOW?

The first McCain "celebrity" ad was in the can, to be launched when the McCain campaign needed a distraction from a gaffe... and the comment in Stugis about Cindy competing topless called for a response that linked Obama to sex, too, although it was "labeled" as celebrity.

It's the Obama campaign and Obama himself that resonate with these values where people are tired of business as usual inside the DC beltway. “The Barry Blitt illustration selected for the cover of the July 21, 2008 New Yorke will echo in viral emails until at least the day of the general election, if not well beyond, feeding the egos of the smear-mongers who will grin like canary-fed Cheshire cats.

Worse however, the imagery demeans more than just the Obamas; it belittles virtually all with African ancestry as well as those of the Muslim faith. It was clearly an attempt at humor, conceived to poke fun at the worst rumors and whisper campaigns. http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/07/13/new-yorker-satire-of-obama-smears-falls-flat/

“Of course reformers back the decision -- it's not even a decision. He extended a charitable CONDITIONAL offer to the Republicans, and their front-runner/nominee, the former maverick John McCain, opted to reverse his own request for public financing in favor of relying on big oil and other special interest money.

When McCain decided to stick to the old way, trying to use money instead of basing the election on issues, he essentially gave Obama the green light by rejecting the offer.

Can't recall it that way? Read and learn: http://obamesque.wordpress.com/2008/06/19/obama-reluctantly-follows-mccain-out-of-public-campaign-financing/

“"The polls go up, the word goes out, partisans of all stripes rush to the site, and eventually, the Ron Paul supporters stay up all night to try to generate a result that proves Paul is the only candidate who really believes in freedom."

That is one of the most insightful dismissals of non-random polling on the internet I've ever enjoyed reading. It almost overshadows the point of the article, which is that this was for all intents and purposes a push-poll, done right out in broad daylight by a supposedly objective news service. Why is it that they're rushing to be the new "Fair & Balanced" when we already have FOX?”

“rssai, you clearly haven't researched Senator Obama's statements or his position with regard to fixing the Health Care system. He's said he'd favor single-payer if starting from scratch, but has a more pragmatic approach given that you can't reasonably expect to simply dismantle the vast, entrenched bureaucracy currently administering the system since that would threaten their very life-blood, their profits and jobs. However, if you want to pursue mandating everybody buys insurance, as Senator Clinton does, explain how that would work more effectively than the current mandate that drivers buy insurance. Did you know that over 10% of drivers plain ignore that law? ( suggest you get your facts working before you hurl slanderous epithets.”

“Too wet behind the ears. Come on! OBama is just too inexperienced. He'll never get anything done. He's a plant. I have not heard or seen any solutions to our problems from him.

You are not going to get anything close to universal healthcare for the masses until your able to pay for it. This, we have not heard from the OBama people. How are you going to pay for it. It is assumed, the people with jobs will be the only ones paying for it.
We have 731 military bases around the world in 130 different coutries with a $1 Trillion budget. OBama will not do anything with that. He will be too busy changing from white to black (which is normal) to concentrate on healthcare. Who's advising him? Brezinski? He's Clinton stuff. You trust that? As for Hillary, it ain't going to happen either. She's nothing but a Bushie. More of the same.
Ron Paul wants to bring all the troops home from all those 731 bases. Bring the money home. Cut our taxes, which take us up to June 1st of each year to pay to begin with. He wants to have sound money again. All the good things for this country for you and me alike. He's the only one promoting this. OBama has no real plan.
Where are these demos going to get the money if they are going to still fight wars?
Tell me. Please tell me.
OBama has no real plan! He's too green.

Maybe next time...

We are in big trouble in this country. We need a man that has a track record on what he believes.
And that man is Dr. Ron Paul.
OBama's a good guy, and I like him. But, we need a man with true convictions right NOW...

Maybe next time....

We have no room for error anymore.”
