It all seems perfectly sane and in the best interests of the Institution's Stockholder and Investers, but the operative word is "Seems". Rather than acknowledging risk and charging appropriate rates to cover that risk, the industry has decided to do that but also try to eliminate risk.

The bottom line is that the purpose of money has been subordinated from being used to obtain goods and services to making more money. The problem is that as the money increases, which it does, the value behind the money does not.

Money made from manipulating money - which is perfectly legal - is devalued money. Each new dollar made by manipulation of money has slightly less that value backing than other dollars. The catch is we can not tell which dollar is which so all of our money become worth less.”
