“Never used the iPhone or iPod touch have you? They're mini computers though they lack full functionality due to size.
The MacTablet had better live up to the hype and level of advancement and sophistication that I expect or I won't buy one and I suspect most other people won't buy them either if they don't. But Apple has a long history and the market speaks.
@curadai - I'm typing this on my MacBookPro and downloading an app on my iPod touch and I'd be expecting a call on my desired iPhone except they don't service the area where I live - and I've checked out all the other "smartphones" and they don't compare. I wouldn't even take a free smartphone if Verizon offered me one after seeing the paltry messes they claim are "smartphones".
As for my comment above - it's what they do and that's what the cost will be. I just wish it weren't so much - I'd buy two!”

The images that the scientific group has had declassified, for instance, have had their sharpness reduced to hide the abilities of the reconnaissance satellites ."

The typical ratchet up.
First $700 or less...
Now, a month later $1000...
Next month we'll hear $1200...
And finally we'll be gut punched with the price point being bandied by insiders all along $1500 with talk of a $2000 model.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong.”

It all seems perfectly sane and in the best interests of the Institution's Stockholder and Investers, but the operative word is "Seems". Rather than acknowledging risk and charging appropriate rates to cover that risk, the industry has decided to do that but also try to eliminate risk.
The bottom line is that the purpose of money has been subordinated from being used to obtain goods and services to making more money. The problem is that as the money increases, which it does, the value behind the money does not.
Money made from manipulating money - which is perfectly legal - is devalued money. Each new dollar made by manipulation of money has slightly less that value backing than other dollars. The catch is we can not tell which dollar is which so all of our money become worth less.”

“School is now every aspect of a person's life?
Have you ever been in a school?
Watched kids waste their time considering their peer's clothing.. . further aggravate the situation with disputes at home over what they can wear... watched kids get into fights in school that had something to do with how they were clothed?
Ever been thanked by parents who appreciate such a code saving them and their children such additional issues to be discussed?
I've witnessed all of these things and more.
Is it really such a big deal that you must wear clothes that conform to a common sense of studious modesty?
And hey, you can still wear your underwear to the beach.”
