“You can use a computer and lighten dark images. There is not much you can do when an image is blurry.
Anyway, I suppose the whole Idea was supposed to be a treat, but whoever posted these can make them ready for the computer so we can actually see the images. If there was supposed to be an "artistic" choice to post images that were seemingly candid, I can tell you that good images can be achieved in low light, and the atmospheric quality is not lost but enhanced with a modicom of skill!
They can!”

New Rule: No Shame in Being the Sorry Party

“How about an apology for giving 1-trillion dollars to banks and CEOs when Cash-for-Clunkers has done more to stimulate the economy and auto industry than anything else? And how about an apology from the media who have hardly noticed that Cash-for-Clunkers might be the best economic brainstorm to come out of this administration yet? The $1-trillion 'Cash-for- Mortgages' went to banks who invested it and doled it out among themselves as bonuses. We haven't even gotten an ''Oops, sorry.''”

“Well, it WAS George Bush who did the TARP, giving money to banks and CEOs, so maybe you should go ask him for an apology.”

“Cash for Clunkers is a perfect example of how the government can get it right.
Not enough funding predicted and the program temporarily folds (funded at 1/3 actual cost).
600,000 used cars destroyed as they are traded in so the working poor can't buy them?
4 out of 5 of the best selling cars are foreign. No incentive to buy America first.
Some car dealerships almost bankrupted and having to opt out of the program because the government hasn't reimbursed them as promised.
These are the same people that want to run our health care.”

“Thanks Arianna for doing what you do. You, Jon Stewart, Bill Maher, et al. are the guardians of our collective sanity. Spoiler alert: What I know about economics could be characterized as diddly-squat. Based on that, in the crudest terms, it seems the reason the bailout isn't big enough is because it's not fixing what was broken. The whole thing started to crumble when people couldn't pay their subprime loans (the ones predatory lenders rammed down their throats, BTW - everyone is in denial about that one, for sure). The only thing that is being done about mortgages is a suggested, voluntary program of restructuring and modifying those loans banks deem eligible. As if. Nothing is being done to fix the banking system and we all know that's the problem, those derivitive thingies and default swappery-isms and malfeasant parchment waste baskets. If however people could pay down those bad loans and had disposable income of $200 or $300, say, at the end of the month, this economy would be stimulated nicely. Fixing, or trying to fix the banks first seems to be putting the cart before the horse.”

Rush will self destruct if he continues to think he is so important as to even think he could debate a President. What next? Will Rush demand an audience with G@D to tell G@D where he is going wrong?”
