“"Congress is at war with Wall Street."

This is true, accurate and not at all surprising. Well, if you consider rolling around naked in bed, war. I will give you just one guess as to who is the top and who is the bottom!”

Then, he won't be able to collect the retirement "kickbacks", I mean, benefits most house members get after, mmm, I think 3 terms in the House.”

“Last part:

This, however, is changing. I doubt Obama can win reelection but we'll see.

There you have it. The good people up north have given us two very reasonable, aptly applied answers that work very well.

We should just annex them anyway so we can steal their great ideas. We can disguise it by claiming the oil sands were ours when we stole the west from Mexico and we forgot to annex it then. The world knows our history and our usual modis operandi so they'll buy it and look the other way.

Oh, and Obamasheeple is in reference to all the people that voted for him like I did but assume he should be followed like the messiah without question. I am no sheeple. My eyes were opened when he broke his promise regarding FISA and voted for violating the fourth amendment to the Constitution.

In 30 years, when the SCOTUS allows it to come before them, I believe it will be rejected as unconstitutional, but the damage will have already been done.

I'm just glad there are 300 mn of us. They can't watch/listen to everybody. You have to do something to attract attention.”

“This would take herculean effort (and require a Constitutional amendment) to pass in this country because crack ho's love their crack (again no offense to the good name of crack ho's because I would rather be in your company than a politician's) and politicians love trading votes for money. Millions of which, they keep for personal use should they decide not to run for another term. I know, sometimes it is hard to love my country.

This quid pro quo is nothing new and even with a publicly financed system there would undoubtedly be some cheating of some kind, even out right bribery since it exists now.

But what it would do is make the campaign only about maybe two months long and require, by default, a politician to persuade the electorate by their actual arguments and promises. Promises, I know, but they all think, "once I'm president I can get corporations to finance my next campaign and ply my new lies and negative ads on the electorate to make them vote for me". It seems to work well with great frequency. In the public system, this would not be an option.

Other than that, I can divine no other alternatives because corporations will only provide large amounts of money to a "sure" thing and third parties ain't no sure thing.
