“"Not getting it" implies ignorance.
Make no mistake, these people "get it".
They are agents in a disinformation campaign.
The Canadian public is their target.
They take us for suckers.
They would sell their souls to remain in the "game" they are playing.”
“His work speaks for itself and it ruffles feathers and makes the powers that be uncomfortable.
Why would you feel the need to to be disdainful of this valuable public service by deflecting with the weak "self-promotion" angle ?”
Mitchell Horton on Jan 17, 2014 at 16:22:13
“Because his work is mostly lies, opinions and exaggeration.
I don't consider something valuable just because it ruffles feathers.”
“1) You are not to clear on how insurance works
2) You are uninformed as to the intent of the founding fathers
3) You seem to think that what the majority might believe makes it right.
4) you endded your comment with lol
All that in 2 short sentences.
History will judge Greenwald.”

“1. I am very clear on how insurance works
2. I have read the constitution front to back numerous times, so i believe i am informed as to what the intent of the founding fathers was.
3. I believe that if the majority of the population believes something is right/wrong, well then there is something to say to that.
“Canadians side with Snowden while our government engages in spying, and profits by it, and shares results with corporate interests.
Our current government does not reflect the values of teh average Canadian.
Our current government is in bed with this program all the way.
It is time to do the laundry.
Throw the bums out and demand real change from their replacements.
Stop Harper, restore sanity and justice to the collective Canadian psyche.

“The solution is to find an alternative to the path chosen by the industrial giants whose main concern is not feeding the world but feeding their bottom line. The profit motive will never do and is the main reason we find ourselves in this predicament in the first place. The alternative would be a combination of land reform, population control, agricultural reform, movement away from a meat based diet, local empowerment , regulation of entrenched monied interests in the agri chain, regulation of current use of resources. Oh and dealing directly with climate change would also be required. The GMO route will have consequences that are being punted down the line to future generations. Admittedly , this is a very complex situation and does not lend itself to easy thumb nail solutions. But you know already this don't you ? Please spare me the smarm and get real. I find your Master Debater pose tiresome and insincere. ”

“Solution ? I have a good idea of what the right path is, not the final solution. I am humble in that way. Deflection ? I posed a question that indicated that you thought only "magic" could solve the problem of world hunger , in part, by harnessing and reducing waste, and I accused you of having a closed mind for holding such a thought. The harshness of your reply is your gift to me but I respectfully decline to accept it. ”

“You just posted the equivalent of "I know you are but what am I ? " You appear to have no reservations , not even the slightest doubt about the effects of tampering with the genetic code of mass produced, monolithic agricultural products and practices. You watch the Discovery channel and marvel at what science has wrought , consequences be damned.Natural, traditional agricultural husbandry has resulted in our consuming only distant relatives of original grains and veggies etc.The effects of this process ( evolution ) have resulted in higher yields, more resistant to drought and pests etc. but when man tampers with nature, nature always exacts a price. For you, tampering at the genetic level is simply the logical extension of this process. To me , it is a double edged sword and time will bear out the downside that your shorsightedness refuses to acknowledge. So here are two links you will no doubt mock me for posting.Consider it a small token my esteem for a fellow human being. If it is scientific studies you want, feel free to fetch them yourself and please do not be off put when they clash with your current beliefs. http://www.webmd.com/food-recipes/features/are-biotech-foods-safe-to-eathttp://www.livestrong.com/article/198076-what-are-the-disadvantages-of-a-gmo/ I. “This was a disgraceful moment in CBC history.
It showed how bush league O'Leary is.
Hedges showed great restraint and demonstrated how to argue when your opponent is a complete bufoon.”
Rob Vann on Jun 26, 2013 at 16:29:53
“I thought it was classic Hedges..Notice the pause when Hedges is taken by complete surprise when ambushed by O'Leary..Hedges then regains his feet and knocks the living daylight out of O'Leary..Extreemists like O'Leary and the now totally humiliated and sacked Tom Flanagan should always have their opinions challenged..Have you noticed there is never a real debate about anything in this country..I'm up for a lot more Hedges VS O'Leary.”
