“Any one with any sense would know he is quoting so what's the big deal? He forgot to site his source or maybe he just thought people were smart enough to figure.”

Russ Ashbaugh on Nov 3, 2013 at 18:49:11

“One does not 'site' a source. One might 'cite' a source from a given site.”

“I have been trying to respond to a comment made to me. The comments do not seem to be posting and I can't think why. I am a very honest person that believes everyone has a right to believe as they do,. I do not infringe on other peoples beliefs so I do not expect them to infringe on mine. If a person puts a plate of beef in front of a Hindu person you can expect them to be offended. If I am forced to disregard my beliefs to appease others then that is wrong. I do not treat anyone unkindly and don't understand why I would be compared to someone that does.”

“As you say homosexual sex is not a sin for homosexuals, although neither you nor I know what each individual believes. From your statement I can only assume you do not think it is a sin. I do not understand your reference to gay lifestyle. I do consider myself different from the individuals in the article in that I would never think the way that they do or act in that manner.”

“"From your statement I can only assume you do not think it is a sin."

Homosexuality is not a sin.  From your dodging, I must assume that you are a dishonest person who cannot address the actual issues raised.

" I do not understand your reference to gay lifestyle"

There is no gay lifestyle.  By using that term, you demonstrate that you are dishonest, and you trivialize and denigrate the lives of hundreds of millions of people.  That is sin.

" I do consider myself different from the individuals in the article"

And yet, you are not.  You articulate the same basic message.  You act in the same manner.”

“The persons leaving this kind of message give Christianity a bad name. Treating a person this way is totally unacceptable and only incites hatred. A true Christian would still love this person and let God judge his lifestyle while maintaining their own behavior as acceptable to God.”

Darr Sandberg on Oct 28, 2013 at 14:50:29

“Since there is no gay lifestyle, Penelope, you are not much different from the folks who stiffed the waiter. And the concept 'gay lifestyle' is strongly linked to, and consistently used, to incite hatred and violence against GLBTQ people.

Homosexuality is not a sin, homosexual sex is not sin for homosexuals.”

“I am a Christian and do not object to the name Messiah. It would be obvious to any thinking Christian that the name did not imply any real title in the religious realm. Christ is considered The Messiah which to Christians he will one day come and liberate his followers but the word could also mean the same thing to anyone else Christian or no - simply liberator. I think the name Apple is a silly name but everyone has their own opinions. Also North West is a terrible name for a girl.”

“This is not a platform for the LBTG community. Why must this issue be imposed onto everything? They were only told not to use propaganda, signs, chants, banners, it's not about that, it's about a holiday. Should other people carry signs for their issues? Like PETA or some other cause? No signs. I think it was a reasonable request and I think to refuse to participate because of the request was snide and spiteful.”

EmmaDarian on Mar 17, 2014 at 00:54:38

“"Should other people carry signs for their issues?"

They do. There are all kinds of groups in the parade. Go view some galleries. But this isn't about an "issue." Think about this:

Most gay veterans served at a time when they had to hide their orientation. When other soldiers could talk about or show pictures of a significant others, gay soldiers couldn't. I can't even imagine how hard that must have been. And straight soldiers got benefits for wives or husbands, but gay ones couldn't. To serve our country, they had to make another sacrifice that straight vets never did. That should be honored and any veteran or supporter of veterans should welcome gay veterans and a banner that recognizes and honors their particular sacrifice.”
