The gap between the nation's CEOs and average workers is now ten times greater than it was a generation ago. And while Bush's tax cuts shaved only a few hundred dollars off the tax bills of most Americans, they saved the richest one percent more than $44,000 on average. In fact, once all of Bush's tax cuts take effect, it is estimated that those with incomes of more than $200,000 a year — the richest five percent of the population — will pocket almost half of the money. Those who make less than $75,000 a year — eighty percent of America — will receive barely a quarter of the cuts. In the Bush era, economic inequality is on the rise.

Rising inequality isn't new. The gap between rich and poor started growing before Ronald Reagan took office, and it continued to widen through the Clinton years. But what is happening under Bush is something entirely unprecedented: For the first time in our history, so much growth is being siphoned off to a small, wealthy minority that most Americans are failing to gain ground even during a time of economic growth — and they know it.”

“Tell you one thing ,,,, My pockets do not show that..

There is just too much weatlh being giving to the top 5 percent of the wealthy and that now includes most of our democrats...
Lots are making a mint on the policies which are being passed in the pass 8 years.
Look at Feinstein in a committee where war contracts were given out under Bush's war and her husband received in these war contracts.

Every wonder just how much money the elected officials on both sides of the fence ,, have in stocks in the companies which have benefited by the decisions made in the past 8 years.

We have become the country of the have and the have nots.”

Why doesn't Bush get credit for the strong economy?"
Are people just ungrateful? Is the administration failing to get its message out? Are the news media, as conservatives darkly suggest, deliberately failing to report the good news?

None of the above. The reason most Americans think the economy is fair to poor is simple: For most Americans, it really is fair to poor. Wages have failed to keep up with rising prices. Even in 2005, a year in which the economy grew quite fast, the income of most non-elderly families lagged behind inflation. The number of Americans in poverty has risen even in the face of an official economic recovery, as has the number of Americans without health insurance. Most Americans are little, if any, better off than they were last year and definitely worse off than they were in 2000.

But how is this possible? The economic pie is getting bigger — how can it be true that most Americans are getting smaller slices? The answer, of course, is that a few people are getting much, much bigger slices. Although wages have stagnated since Bush took office, corporate profits have doubled.”

“Are you blinded by Obama's speeches.. Obama is listening to Emanuel and this other Clinton advisors and not keeping his promises..

What happen to his promise of withdrawing us troops in Iraq as soon as he took office.
What happen his promise of renegotiating the free trade bill ...which has been responsible for outsourcing over 8 million American jobs overseas.
What happen to his repeal of Bush's tax cut to the top 10 percent of the wealthy.
What happen to his promise of not cutting taxes on 95 percent of Americans.
What happen to his promise of cutting the price of health policies for people who already have a health policy.
What happen to his promise to make sure that the bank ceo's do not take the bailout money and spend it on themselves instead of investing it in main street...

I will not and have not blame Obama for the destruction of our economy , democracy , freedom of the previous 8 years of earth burning policies of the Bush / Cheney / republican administration ,,,, but will hold him to his promises of a change for the American citizens as in his speeches like the one in Florida in September of 2008..

The clock is ticking on this crisis. We have to act swiftly, but we also have to get it right. with a solution that protects American taxpayers and our economy without rewarding those whose greed helped bring us to this point.

I will cut taxes for 95% of all working families. under my plan, tax rates will actually be less than they were under Ronald Reagan. If you make less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increase one single dime.

I will finally keep the promise of affordable, accessible health care for every single American. If you have health care, my plan will lower your premiums

This Administration started off by asking for a blank check to solve this problem. To them, I say no. It is unacceptable to expect the American people to hand this Administration or any Administration a $700 billion check with no conditions and no oversight

If American taxpayers are financing this solution, you should be treated like investors. That means that Wall Street and Washington should give you every penny of your money back once this economy recovers.”

“No it is a sea of our elected elite which are throwing a party for the very countries we are outsourcing our manufacturing plants and jobs to..

In fact on one type of job outsourced to India , they has so much work they outsourced some back to US at a profit for them..

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/09/25/business/worldbusiness/25outsource.html

MYSORE, India — Thousands of Indians report to Infosys Technologies’ campus here to learn the finer points of programming. Lately, though, packs of foreigners have been roaming the manicured lawns, too.

Many of them are recent American college graduates, and some have even turned down job offers from coveted employers like Google. Instead, they accepted a novel assignment from Infosys, the Indian technology giant: fly here for six months of training, then return home to work in the company’s American back offices.

India is outsourcing outsourcing jobs.

One of the constants of the global economy has been companies moving their tasks — and jobs — to India. But rising wages and a stronger currency here, demands for workers who speak languages other than English, and competition from countries looking to emulate India’s success as a back office — including China, Morocco and Mexico — are challenging that model.”

Obama , Emanuel , Reid , Baucus , Blue Dogs , centrists have done more destruction to the democratic party than any group in our history..

They have totally done nothing for us and I am sick of people phasing this health bill... It was from the head of Emanuel and his committee of blue dog republicans (they certainly are not democrats) and their republicans counterparts which received the health monopolies wish list and put it in a bill for them..

This looks like it will be a bigger nightmare then the bailout give a way to the banking monopolies with no rules or oversight..

To hear any democrat say they are behind these corporate policies is UNBELIEVABLE to say the least..
