“The public option, if passed, will be just that: an option. No one is going to force people to opt for it. So why do the anti-healthcare rerformers want to deny people the right to choose this option by killing it? Because that's what they do. They want to stop people from having choices. They want everything their way. The effort on the part of supposedly grass roots campaigns to disrupt town hall meetings is not just average middle class Americans spontaneously expressing their feelings. These people are experts at fake grass roots campaigns. They are pros. This is an industry. Their business is to create the illusion of a grass roots movement. Their purpose is to promote corporate interests. They are currently bussing people across state lines the country to push conspiracy theories about health care, like the outrageous right wing lie that health care reform is really a secret commie plot to kill old people. They are professional PR operatives generating exploitative, manufactured, strategically deployed outrage in order to line their own pockets.

On Oct. 31, 2008, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, director of the Hawaii Department of Health, issued a statement saying that he had "personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama's original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures­." Definitive proof of Obama's Hawaii birth has also been found in the archives of two Hawaii newspapers, the Honululu Advertiser and Honolulu Star-Bulletin, which both printed birth announcements days after Obama was born in 1961.
