Keystone XL: Experts Say Lawsuits Likely If TransCanada Moves To Build Part Of Pipeline

Keystone XL: Experts Say Lawsuits Likely If TransCanada Moves To Build Part Of Pipeline

Commented Dec 6, 2011 at 09:06:49 in Green

“What people don't realize is that if we don't build this pipeline, China already has agreements with Canada to take their oil. Would you rather keep importing oil from the middle east, or have a reliable source of energy from our much-more-politically-stable neighbors? Not building this pipeline is NOT going to stop this oil field from being developed. Period. Also, can you name any other industry that pays people who don't have an education but are willing to work hard over 6 figures?

Also, the comment about oil wells being shut in until the price of oil goes up, I am a production engineer for a independent oil company. We do the same thing. It is VERY expensive to produce, treat, and ship the oil. If a pumping unit, down hole pump, tubing, or rod fails, its not economical to replace until oil reaches a certain price. Plain and simple. It has nothing to do with profiteering.”

“Tell our green-buddies who are having coniptions on this post how many transcontinental pipelines are running under their yards and cities, too. Alos, how many leak incidents have occured on the Alaska Pipeline tha caused more than minor spill problems.
Build the pipeline!!! Its the only shovel-ready job the Obama Regime has come up with so far, and now they're blocking it!!!”
