The photo-shoped pictures should be removed immediately and this is why I removed any links or ties to Google.

“I voted for President Obama for change but we are not getting change. We are getting more of the same. The same people in the Pentagon pushing the same wars. The same people in the Banking industry ie., The Fed, SEC etc. In all the Government positions that count we have the same people who served under Bush for eight years. How can things change. Congress hasn't changed they still answer to lobbyist and gobble up bribes to pass whatever bills corporate america wants. We have been lied to and have had the wool pulled over our eyes, again. Is it time for the revolution yet?”

socalgal38 replied on Nov 17, 2009 at 15:29:45

“The only way we will get any kind of reform is for the American people stand up and show we are not going to take it anymore. But judging by the comments all we get is change is coming, be patient. Just wait till they pass the health care (insurance) bill and people actually wake up from the lies they have swallowed. Hicking premiums and no benefits is the change we are getting.”

tednarcotic replied on Nov 17, 2009 at 07:58:42

“No, it is not even close to being time for a revolution. We have the tools to change who owns our government. It is time for campaign finance reform i.e. publicly financed elections. Our elected officials kowtow to whoever can facilitate the winning of an election and right now that is the highest bidder. We need to be the highest bidder. Us the people. Us the voters.”

Is that why we worked all our lives to service the comforts of our new masters, the medical aristocracy?”

“The change has begun, but it is still not over. Obama sets the agenda, It is up to congress to get done what he has invisioned.

It can't be done if you got opposition with in your own party. Now is the time to rethink who you want in the senate. that is where the true power lies.

President Obama is the figure head, the senate is where you really make things happen. Don't like the changes you got so far, CHANGE THE SENATE, vote the bums out or you will get more of the same.”

“Americans continue role as punching bag for Corporate America. Americans continue to put up with actions of banks and now drug companies. When will it end. It won't end until Americans get angry and stand up for themselves and say enough and then enforce it with action. Until then Americans are nothing but a punching bag for Corporations and the rich fat cats who only want to get richer.

The Solution is to show up in Washington DC during the next demonstration with your sign. Demonstrate in front of your banks and drug stores in your home towns. Get out of your houses and off your rear ends and do something. Make some noise. Otherwise just shut up and take it........

Just a point of interest here......American drug companies already charge Americans more than anyone else.... You can buy the same drugs in other countries for less than half of what we Americans pay.....”

“I have to ask at the risk of being called conspiracy theorist “Did the military allow the attack in Fort Hood to happen to gin up the war fever?”

We won’t know how much the Pentagon knew about his activities for weeks but I for one will be watching each disclosure with growing interest. To date there have been so many new discoveries about how much the military and FBI knew about the killer that it boggles the mind to think they left him in place working with returning soldiers with PTSD.

I certainly hope the Pentagon doesn’t put the blame for all this on some enlisted man like they did with Abu Ghraib debacle.

I want to see heads roll for this one and I mean head with hats with stars on them.”

cuomofied replied on Nov 14, 2009 at 19:44:32

“You ask a good question, but it's tough to know the answer.

On one hand, drumming up anti terror sentiment on a war weary public seems to be advantageous to the Obama administration, particularly by winning over independents and pro-war republicans who would simply be against any decision that Obama made in regards to the Afghanistan debacle. He could then champion bi-partisan support for war spending and a longer engagement in Afghanistan without having to explain himself to his left leaning base.

On the other, if it got out that this was by and large a failure of the intelligence community, which at this point in time it appears to be, preventing an investigation would shelter Obama from warranted criticism by the right who is looking for any reason to jump on him about terrorism and defense. Too bad they've cried wolf over such petty things during the last 10 months. but nonetheless, this would cause an even larger divide in the public and the Congress, and the rhetoric from both sides would get markedly worse than it already is, making any domestic or foreign agenda nearly impossible.

I'd try to post a link to NPR about Hasan, but it's been blocked over 40 times now. Dig it up, it's quite interesting.”

“Dear President Barack Obama,

Sir, I understand that you are a admirer of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and many folks use your name in conjunction with FDR but I would advise you to pay more attention to Lyndon Baines Johnson who during his government service also passed sweeping legislation including The Civil Rights Act which was the cornerstone of Johnson’s plan for the Great Society, which also included Head Start, Medicare, Medicaid, and voting rights.

LBJ ran for office as the “Peace Candidate” but this soon created a "credibility gap" when LBJ started listening to the advice of Hawks in his cabinet such as Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara's who’s plan, supported by requests from top U.S. military commanders in Vietnam, led to the commitment of 485,000 troops by the end of 1967 and almost 535,000 by June 30, 1968. The casualty lists mounted as the number of troops and the intensity of fighting escalated. In the end over 58,000 troops died.

In retirement, LBJ spoke of this. He referred to his Great Society program as a "beautiful woman" and noted that she was gradually replaced by the "bitch" that was the Vietnam War.

Sir, this is a lesson to be learned and the greatest attention should be given to it before any commitment for more troops to Afghanistan or Iraq.

Sincerely,

Phil Waste”

“Attacking the people of this forums personally, rather than debating the issues they raise, is part of a logical fallacy known as "Attacking the man" or "argumentum ad hominem."

This tactic is logically fallacious because insults and even true negative facts about the opponent's personal character have nothing to do with the logical merits of the opponent's arguments or assertions.

Next time, try debating the issue. It does not follow that because the people in this forum do not march in the streets against the war, the war should be stopped.”

As Jobs Are Lost, So Is The Middle Class

“It looks like the Corporations have lost their power over the people except for the ultra right wing conservative bigots. The Corporations have poured millions upon million into right wing radio media who-oores who have been spreading hate and the so called conservative message to a few right wing radicals who have been eating it up as gospel.

Main stream Americans are not buying the corporate propaganda and the Corporations are going to lose another round with the people of the United States. Main stream Americans are beginning to ask if all the layoffs were just another ploy to hurt the Obama Administration and punish the people who voted him into office.

Corporations have been out to destroy the middle class for years now and with the help of bankers and investors have nearly brought the working man to his knees. Time to fight back! Organize, when we a united we are strong.

The true enemies of the people are sitting in board rooms across the nation making decisions that adversely affect the well being of the American people while lining their own pockets. Greed indeed!
