“Sustainablitity is far improved by utilizing modern technology. technology such as clean coal and nuclear can provide ample poer and clean air. Developing natural gas can do this as well. Modern hybrid agriculture provides yields many times "organic" methods; relying on dated methods would require far more land and would cause many millions to starve.
Providing the power and food we need is sustainability. Trying to rely on the most inefficient, costly ways of doing things and failing to utilize ample supplies of energy is not sustainable. It leads to the exact opposite.”

Wind and solar do not; even James Hansen, the father of global warming, agrees with this. “OK, here is the logic. The US is broke. We have to borrow from other countries to sustain our spending. But even these countries that are lending us money, like China, are now realizing there is no way for the US to pay it back without inflating the currency. The inflating of the currency is why your 1999 dollar saved has lost 20% of its purchasing power. It is going to get much worse. The courageous thing to do would be to cut spending.”
