“All of these celebrities including Amanda Bynes, Justin Bieber, and Lindsey Lohan are proof that the celebrity lifestyle is not as glamorous as the media makes it seem. I think a lot more people with money and fame are less happy than others.”

“And this is one reason why I do not watch shows like "Access Hollywood" or "Entertainment Tonight". It gives this "LOOK AT ME" my life is wonderful because I'm on the popular TV show or Movie, I have the #1 song and I wear so and so clothing. So the cameras follow them around and viewers think they "know" these entertainers. Then these same shows go on to "act" shocked when the so called wonderful life falls apart for many of these celebs. The other reason I don't watch is I have young children and I want them to aspire to be a current undergraduate at ...... not a celebrity.
“I am a graduate with an English degree too and there is more to do with an English degree than teach. The Vice Chancellor of Student Development at the University of Tennessee got an undergrad degree in English. Instead of warehouse work she can take the Praxis test and become a teacher like how I plan to do. Until then I'm blessed to have a welcoming parents to live with and I can apply at the company my dad works for.”

“"Become a teacher like how I plan to do..." uh, best of luck with that. You say your degree was in English?
Nice that you can rely on Mum and Dad for shelter and employment. IOW, "I'm alright Jack."”

“Stating that homosexuality is absolutely not a choice is also dangerous because that is dismissing the fact that some people (including Cynthia Nixon from Sex and The City) state that being gay is a choice for them. It also dismisses bisexuality for those who are attracted to males and females.”
savethecountry on Dec 20, 2013 at 11:59:39
“Sexuality of any kind is NOT a choice, notwithstanding what Ms. Nixon might think. When exactly did you consciously CHOOSE your sexuality, Pointless? A time isn't necessary, but a date would be helpful to this discussion.”

“So bisexuals choose to be bi now? I always just thought they were inherently attracted to both sexes.
And the key word in your first sentence is "for them". Sure, some gays may feel like they chose that, but overall I seriously doubt many feel that way.”

Then again, he was also driving, so it's likely he got them both k.illed so..yeah...there's that.”
“Just because a certain desire does not "hurt" someone does not mean it cannot be detrimental to those directly participating, or be harmful to society. Who is to say that a child cannot consent to a grown up? These days parents believe their child can be mature enough to decide if they want to change their sex, so how are they not mature enough to be attracted to an adult?”
“To state that the Bible is only good for toilet paper shows how immature your morals are. Therefore, whether you believe in an absolute God or not, it shows that you need religious morality to be a better and more mature person than whatever or whomever you got your morals from.”
“It would be ignorant and arrogant to expect others to follow my religious beliefs if I believed that my religion is merely a personal choice and not absolute. I don't consider Christianity MY religion, or merely a religion, but it is many acts that reflex OUR Creator's character. And, when we act contrary to our Creator's character then we are denouncing our Creator.”

“I hope you're joking, because if you're serious, you definitely belong in a mental hospital.
“Couples like Michael and Kamala are ignorant and selfish. They reject the holiness of marriage and seek their own desires. If we cannot control our desires then why do we punish pedophiles and serial killers while these people get to cheat freely? The Bible says that the heart is wicked, so we should not follow it. As a Christian I have sexual desires too, but I control my desires because I love God. It's not always easy, and often frustrating, but I know that God provides much more for me than my sinful desires.”

“You know what God provides for me? A good romp in the hay. I thank God, everyday, for the ability to get down and dirty with a beautiful woman. Praise Him!”
“It is supremely ignorant and selfish, not to mention arrogant and absurd, to expect others to follow your religious beliefs.”
Nathan Weyer on Nov 27, 2013 at 15:13:57
“I am going to have to go with 'because pedophiles and serial killers' hurt people? You do realize there is a rather significant difference between rape/murder and people having a different interpretation of an institution that even Christianity has not been consistent on for more then a few decades at a time?”

Today, there are still people that claim they are being kidnapped by Aliens and are forced to have sex with Alien/Human hybrids. So, it was not evolution, but gene manipulation by extraterristials. With 7 billion people, we don't know what might be now walking among us. That is why they don't attack us. We are their children.”

“This man said he didn't ask for it? So if someone offers him a hot dog would he eat it and say I didn't ask for it, it just happened? Thats a proper slogan for Shawty Lo given the fact that he has 11 children that I'm sure he didn't ask for, but just happened. And, he says that he takes care of his children but providing child support checks every month is not enough providing for his children. It's impossible for him to be a working man and in all 11 of his children's lives. Shawty Lo is not a responsible parent, he's just a parent doing the bare minimum.”
sugarcreekchile on Jan 9, 2013 at 22:19:59
“News for Shanty Lo, you did ask for it when you decided to have unprotected sex with multiple women. I guess he's a slow learner and hasn't figured out that babies don't come from the cabbage patch.
You're right, sending a support check does not a father make. How in the world can he spend any quality time with any of his kids when they're living in 10 different houses? Just the logistics of trying to spend any real time with these children is overwhelming. He'd spend more time driving between the 10 homes than he actually spent with his kids. At least, the fundamentalist Mormons have all their wives & kids in the same housing compound. To call this guy irresponsible is an understatement.”

“The reason gay couple earn more money than the average heterosexual couple is that in American men usually make more money than women so when you put two men together they will usually have a higher joint salary than a man and a woman. And, gay couples don't have a stay at home dad as much as heterosexuals have the stay at home mother.
The reason gay couples are more likely to be employed is because companies fear that if they do not hire gays then they will file a discrimination lawsuit.”

“The Hebrew God described in the King James Bible as an all-knowing and all-powerful God is coherent because human beings do not have the mind compacity to obeserve and judge God's morality. God's "good" is not compatible with our "good." Humans consider good people as those who at least do not commit crimes that are worthy of prison sentences. God's goodness is not based upon how perfect and lovely he can be because that is in his nature, but his good is based on the gift of Jesus Christ that we are saved through our sins. God's goodness is that he loves us even though we deserve to die.
To say that God is all-power means that God is in control of all suffering, but that doesn't mean that he is incapable of being all-power because he allows some suffering to happen. If we think that the suffering today is too much to bear then imagine the suffering we will endure if God releases his grasp from Satan. Sometimes suffering happens to make our faith stronger. Sometimes suffering happens because of unfortunate circumstances dealt by humans' freewill. This is why we have faith in God because ultimately we don't suffer because we know God is in control of it all. If a tragedy happens tomorrow I don't need to question God's all-powerful han. I have faith that God either willed it to happen, or God can change the circumstances even when unfortunate situations occur.”

“I can't believe that anyone here is giving these vicious hatemongers the nod when they imply it's their RELIGION, to spread hate around. They're as much a 'church' as is a dog who squats before relieving itself. And just as clean. I passed one of their 'protests' a mile from the burial service of a friend of a friend of mine. They all stink like billy goats, I guess water and soap are against their 'religion', too.”
