“The Dead Mule [deadmule.com], a literary journal based in southern US, has published online since 1996. Its literary offerings include fiction, essays and poetry. many online literary journals (especially those with academic spines) owe their internet ancestry to when mike neff began webdelsol -- and offered ploughshares, agni, and others a free online presence in the 1996-2000 literary journal days of the internet.

I also lament the absence of Absinthe LR, great journal. failbetter consistently publishes great work. fictiondaily? a great resource also.

pssst, the Dead Mule has RSS, check bottom of page.

and to everyone? keep reading... never surrender.”
