Rahm Emanuel: Don't Worry About the Left
Commented Dec 18, 2009 at 20:57:29 in Politics
“If I were Emanuel I wouldn't be so sure that the progressives are in the bag so to speak. He needs to worry about the left side of the aisle more than the right. We progressives shouldn't be taken for granted.”

“But if we vote for this admisinstration again--we get what we deserve. We see their true colors--I put my glass of Koll-Aid down after he filled his cabinent posts.
Democrat or not--I will not vote for them again.
I'd rather let the repugs win--just to send a messge they will never forget.
Hopefully, it won't come to that--hopefully they will change (I won't hold my breath), or another Dem or Independen tcandidate s will emerge--but if they don't--I am ready to vote against my own party.
They will never learn if we just keep voting for them.
No more.”

“Rockefeller is right. Dean should never have suggested that we blow our only chance at any kind of health care reform even if it doesn't have the PO or medicare 55+. This bill should pass and the president should sign it. If we kill this bill it will be very difficult to get another bill. We've seen how difficult the process has been so far. Thank you Senator for saying this. It needed to be said.”

“This is an excellent example of the mentality that has allowed the Democratic Party to defraud the American people for decades. I'm not belittling this poor fellow, for I've often been fooled by the Dems and their sophisticated brand of snake oil.
The Dems are exactly like the Republicans, to the extent of being morally, ethically and politically bankrupt. The big difference is that we know where the Repubs stand. By God, they wouldn't have hestitated to resort to reconciliation; it would already be a done deal if it was a Republican bill and they had 51 votes.
Now, these Dems, they are slicker, saying exactly what the people need and want to hear, all the while, selling them them out in grand style. This poor soul is still buying the Dems' snake oil, the President's lies. Don't worry. He'll figure it out.”

Commented Nov 21, 2009 at 00:21:18 in Politics
“Bill Clinton is wrong here. KO is only trying to raise awareness for a very important issue. KO has not politicized it in any way. It could be that Clinton feels bad that he could not be the president to sign universal health care into law. Instead it will be President Obama who will sign health care reform into law. But Clinton's attack on KO is unfair.
Also I think Bill is still upset over KO 2 special comments on Hillary during the primaries.”
