“Again, you're missing the point. Just because they call it "news" doesn't make it news. They are all commentators, not journalists. All the other networks have "news" organizations who find, analyze, synthesize and report the actual happenings on planet Earth. Fox just makes up whatever and calls it truth.”

“No, you're missing the point. Freedom of the press means that the WH can't decide who is real news and who isn't, only the public can do that. The WH overstepped their bounds, and gave ammunition to all the right-wing detractors who claim they are suppressing dissent. I may think Fox News is full of crap, you may think Fox News is full of crap, but the those who watch it don't. Now you can easily say "oh screw 'em, they're wingnut idiots, they're a tiny percentage of the American public." But if you do that, you are no better than the Bush Administration people who suppressed dissent. If we go down that road, then how long before we declare some other network "not-news", or not worthy because they only represent a small percentage of the public? How many people get their news from any given source? Are any of them worthy of interviews?
