WaPo Unleashes Army Of Anonymous Sources To Slag Public Option

“wasn't that bush's idea? he led us into a $3 trillion dollar debacle in iraq and your fine with that, but when it comes out to helping out your neighbor, you snub them? why can't conservatives care more about people than the almighty dollar.”

“I agree with ed schultz. Who would jesus deny health coverage too. Are religious people supposed to care about the downtrodden and sick? jesus supposedly did but we can't unite in this battle for health care to say we finally do the right thing on health care in 2009 and cover all americans and release the health insurance chokehold on the poor, middle class, and the economy as a whole.”
SouthPrairie replied on Aug 19, 2009 at 16:18:14
“And to release the chokehold on us too, because medical costs soar due to emergency room visits. We are paying either way, why not pay to get people covered.”

“In a country as rich as ours, we can spend $3 trillion on iraq long term projected, we can spend $1 trillion over ten years to cover all americans.”

“disappointed with the this announcement. this guy rolled over for republicans under bush and thinks only about elections when working with legislation. not the type of guy we want. hope this is not a sign of more to come. we voted against clinton in the primary because we didn't want another clinton administration with this bs.”

Larry Summers: Why He Shouldn't Be Treasury Secretary

“I agree. This position along with Secretary of Defense are huge choices. The Clinton people were wrong in both areas in many situations. I don't want a clinton official in either of these positions. And no republicans for secretary of defense. we need fundamental, groundbreaking change, and we need people in positions like this who know what they are doing, not those stuck in cold war mentality for military and deregulatory mentality for economics.”

“There are a lot of centrist and disenchanted republicans who believe in diplomacy driven foreign policy rather than preemption and thuggist attitude. Chuck Hagel would be a great secretary of defense. He was on the bad side of Bush and has decided to retire from his senate seat. His wife endorsed Obama. I think he would be a good pick.”

Obama: GOP Tactics The Reason bin Laden Is Still Free
Commented Jun 17, 2008 at 20:57:07 in Politics
“good for him. how can bush and the republicans keep us safe, 9/11 happened on their watch when they ignored warnings, bin laden is still free, and we are less safe and there are more terrorists. he should bring this up more often. as well as iraq, and that bush economic policies hurt the economy unless you are rich.”

“I agree with both of you. I am not at all surprised by this, they are not true democrats or liberals, they are too republican. they think it's more important whether they win rather than running on what you believe. thankfully barack looks to be a shining example to win and run on what you believe.”
Obama In Kentucky And West Virginia: Why Will He Lose?
Commented May 12, 2008 at 17:45:54 in Politics
“"He doesn't understand 'ordinary' Americans". No he understands ordinary American's, but unfortunately there are a lot of racists and people who are, well, idiots, and vote on stupid issues and candidates based on emotion, rather than reason. And they get their feelings hurt by the mild bitter comments. Jeez people in this country are so sensitive and emotional over petty things.”

“I wish barack would bring up everyday the fact that hillary voted with george bush to go to war with iraq. I think that vote should disqualify her from the democratic nomination.
How can hillary supporters vote for her knowing she got us into this mess with iraq. Stop being so ignorant and vote for whats right. She doesn't deserve to win with that vote.
hillary voted for iraq
he will unite the party and country
she will divide the country and party and unite the republicans to victory. don't believe otherwise or you are living in a fantasy world”

“Hey clinton won new york and pennsysvania and california, too bad for obama, that means they are automatically in john mccains column in november if he wins.
How rediculous. Even kerry got pennsyvania, obama will carry it in november.
hillary is nixon and obama is john kennedy
So stop supporting the nixon of this race and support the kennedy.
Hillary is a triangulating, divisive politician. she will lose in november, obama will win and win all spectrums of people. he is a once in a generation leader and everyone would rather have a washington insider who is getting tons of campaign contributions from defense contractors rather than obama getting money from average joes on the internet.
Get a clue hillary voters. She can't win the primary so stop dragging it out!”

revisionism? No that's the republicans job. changing rationals for war, just watch the daily show and you can see their revisionism every day.”

“"Question: I can offer my life to the CIA, if they start a suicide bombing program for seniors. I would learn to drive a cement truck, fill it with military grade explosives, and drive it into a big meeting of mullahs in Iran. See how they enjoy what they do to others.
This is a great way to go, especially compared to the harsh, humiliating way most of us will die. It serves our national foreign policy. It may also delay the bankruptcy of the Social Security system and Medicare.
If you can think of anything more I can offer, tell me. Also, I do not want my family receiving any refrigerators as the Moslem families do."
Totally confused here. what does this have to do with refridgerators and us all dying in a humiliating way?”

“so nokkk2, it's about money rather than saving lives and diplomacy? I'm sure you would be the first to serve in either this war in Iraq or a potential war with Iran, you'd probably want to send more poor kids to go fight for something that benefits the rich kids like you in the markets. That's selfish. :P”

“I just watched the 60 minutes interview with the Iranian President, and he makes some valid points in some areas. He obviously wants diplomacy with the US, but as we all know Bush will never accept that, and it's a shame because if we go to war despite that, needless deaths will occur on both sides and the US will leave with more enemies.
I think it's also important to note that he is right when he says Israel is occupying part of Lebanon, and the state was created after WWII, with blatant disregard to the people that were already living there (palestinians).
He was also right that energy will be a big deal in the future (running out of oil, bigger populations, ect), and that the US wants to have a monopoly on energy in the future. That's the reason we're in Iraq and why Bush won't leave.”

“it doesn't matter who the newscasters are on CNN, they are the same as every other cable news show and even network news to some degree. This is because their bosses are obsessed with sensationalism, for money is more important to them than real journalism.
We need stories on the environment, the economy, corruption, darfur, and tons of other important things, but instead we get spoonfed the same bs - michael jackson, natalie holloway, the judds, ect.
why did the sago mine survival gear fail? Duh! Mine lobbists paid the government to relax regulations so they didn't have to pay to make things safe.
They make out every one of these things to be a mystery and surprising with all of the corruption like this.”
