“Aside from the shooting, what struck me was that a deputy encountered the victim at 2:30 AM. wandering around the neighborhood with his dogs and claiming he was out to pick up the mail. This did not seem to make the officer think twice even though it is typical behavior for an Alzheimers patient. There is a simple set of questions that the police should be trained to ask in cases like this which might have made this entire incident turn out differently.”

“You are dodging the murder of this guy by blaming Deputy, the shooter had NO business going outside after him his girl WAS ON LINE with 911 when he shot this man down for no reason. He was NOT in danger inside the house, the victim had even rang the doorbell.”
“I'm sure most,if not all, environmentalists realize that there is always a trade off. The danger to birds by wind turbines is dwarfed by the danger of not changing how we produce energy in the future.”

“You're incorrect; dead planet is dead planet if we remove a mountain top for energy or skin and scrape miles of ecosystems for biological diversity killing windmills that devour immense tracts of ecosystem for low energy yield. Science states, we're "suicidal" when we skin and rape ecosystems for dead oil fields or dead fields of wind.
Ecosystems are the agent that sequesters the cw gases for Earth, and when they disturb the soil to make room for windmills, they release gobs of these gases back into the atmosphere to heat up the climate. Vegetation also sequesters these gases that are re-released when they're skinned away to make room for windmills.
Ecosystems also transpire the climate cooling water cycle that cools the leaves, the soil and the surrounding area. Natural plant biological diversity also shelters the Earth from the heat of the sun.
Can a windmill release oxygen, provide the climate cooling water cycle, balance the gaseous composition of the atmosphere; sequester the cw gases; flow the vital nitrogen cycle that flows from plants to animals; purify air and water and provide the entirety of Earth's biogeochemistry
pollination, decomposition; seed dispersal; 99% of all pest control and the control and regulation of human diseases and epidemics, like Earth's, wild, natural surface of an ecosystem?
When we skin ecosystems to make room for dead fields of windmills, we're destroying all ecosystem services, generated by wild, natural ecosystems and every reason mankind breathes. In wildness is the salvation!”
“That's a good explanation, but I'm afraid you're wasting your time. invespac and his type need to believe that it's all about takers and makers and they will,no matter what the facts are.”
invespac on Dec 7, 2013 at 11:16:04
“You are right it is all about takers - the ACA was and is a total scam to re-distribute to other people - if they were worried about preexisting conditions them all they had to do is correct that regulation not re-write a stupid law that will ruin us - typical Dem strategy - Tax & Spend - bit not all are being taxed”
“That's because they pay the workers with different money, right? When government workers buy groceries and clothes, the special 'government money' evaporates in the cash register never to be seen again. The stores can't use this 'government money' to pay their employees or buy inventory or pay taxes because it's special liberal money that has no value compared to good old conservative private enterprise money. So, fair warning to all you business people out there. If a teacher or a policeman or, God forbid, a federal worker tries to buy something at your store. DO NOT accept his/her money!!! You WILL be sorry!!!”
“The Republicans are having a great deal of difficulty dealing with Mandela's legacy, considering that the legacy of their great hero and idol, Ronald Reagan, includes staunch opposition to Mandela and, supposedly, what he stood for. Reagan apologists are twisting themselves in knots trying to pull their hero over from the wrong side of history. It will be interesting to see which narrative they finally settle on.”

“you're right, I wonder how many people remember that Reagan vetoed the sactions against So Africa and had to be overridden by Congress.”
“I’ve not read any scientific studies that would lead me to conclude there are adverse impacts to human beings, animals, or plant life at this small level of climate change,” Abruzzo told the panel, which went on to approve his nomination by a vote of 10-1.
Maybe he should read some.”

“Which is to say he doesn't read ANY scientific studies on climate change....”
“Medicare does not cover dental. There are some dental plans available as Medicare supplements but they are terrible and cover almost nothing. Regular dental insurance was OK until 10 or 15 years ago when the companies figured out how to make some money by raising premiums while lowering provider payments. Yearly maximums are about the same as they were in 1980.”
“Does anyone know if the health insurance plans at ND covered birth control in the past? Most comprehensive plans did, at least as part of the prescription plan. Is ND's objection based on the prospect of having no co-pay for contraception?”
