“I am afraid as much as THEY would like you all to believe it would end this,
it won't count until the convention, so this race would still go to a convention floor fight at which time all the caucus/primary delegates can switch and change the race yet again.”
HumeSkeptic on Mar 29, 2008 at 12:54:56
“Of course, Genius, we all know that a candidate is officially nominated at the convention. Now, it seems to me that you are starting to live in la la land if you think that pledged delegates are going to change votes. Then why have a primary election at all, if they'll vote contrary to what people decided?”
“well it's too bad the "silly black man" and the "silly woman" couldn't run a decent campaign
so now we need to elect the grown ups......GORE/EDWARDS!!”
ENPeterson on Mar 27, 2008 at 11:25:15
“Yeah bringing in nearly 2 million personal donors, going head to head with the Clinton DLC machine and coming from out of nowhere to be beating one of the largest names in American politics in the last 30 years is not a decent campaign...?
Obama is the real deal.”
dottedzebra on Mar 27, 2008 at 11:11:56
“And what kind of campaign has Gore run, exactly? This is a non story anyway. Not even the democrats are that suicidal. It would be the beginning of the end of the party.”
“Well I guess if you want the truth about the poll , you can't get it on HUFFPO!!
From NBC's Chuck Todd
The poll was conducted Monday and Tuesday this week by Hart-McInturff and surveyed 700 registered voters, which gives the poll a margin of error of +/- 3.7 percent. In addition,
"we oversampled African-Americans"
in order to get a more reliable cross-tab on many of the questions we asked in this poll regarding Sen. Barack Obama's speech on race and overall response to last week's Rev. Jeremiah Wright dustup.
Interestingly, of those voters who said they saw the speech, 47 percent said Obama sufficiently addressed the Wright issue while 37 percent said he needs to address it further. Among whites, 45 percent were satisfied with Obama's explanation, 38 percent were not. Among blacks, 67 percent said the speech was sufficient, while 25 percent want him to address it further.
Overall, 55 percent of voters told us that they were "disturbed" by the videos of Wright that circulated so widely on cable TV and the Internet.”

“Do you people know what "oversampling" means?
They do it to get a better statistic for a certain demographic. But that statistic is not factored into the final number at a higher percentage than the the demographic represents in the population.”
I've been HOPE-ing for a GORE/EDWARDS 08 Ticket!!!
Now that's a DREAM Ticket to be sure!!!!!
I knew they were not endorsing for a reason! : D
GO GORE!!! GO EDWARDS!!”
eurydice on Mar 26, 2008 at 14:46:00
“I used to be an Edwards supporter. Now, during a major crisis in the Democratic Party, he sits at home and counts his money.
He should endorse Obama at this point, that would change the vote in Pennsylvania, where Big Union talks.
Surely he knows that Hillary just represents crooked, smoke-filled-room, Washington Machine Politics at its most classic...
Edwards can jump off a cliff at this point, and take gutless Gore, who never should have conceded the 2000 election, with him.”
Ramirez on Mar 26, 2008 at 14:33:35
“Edwards always makes a good VP. He'll carry the Carolinas forsure this time.”
Texas4Obama on Mar 26, 2008 at 14:28:56
You are DREAMING - it isn't going to happen!
Obama - out next President of the UNITED States of America!”
it's funny no one can ever answer the question "what are obamas positions?"
what has he done in the senate?? etc etc
he's an empty suit”
richardsgirl on Mar 26, 2008 at 14:12:40
“"typical huffpo pick, LOL"
I just read a Huffpo pick above, and perhaps you read it also, that supported Senator Clinton. What's typical of your post is that Clinton's supporters seem only able to read or see or hear whatever helps their argument, and in doing so, discredits their argument.
Let me add, no offense intended, since the word, "typical" has become so offensive lately.”

“Hey answering those question require that you be able to read. Since you can write I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you are, in fact, able to read.
As for what he has done in the Senate, all that is documented in great detail at the Library of Congress database at http://thomas.loc.gov/ .
I've done that research and was impressed as hell.
FYI, I am lifelong republican white guy who now considers himself an independent and will do WHATEVER I CAN (within the law) to get Barack Obama elected. If he doesn't get the dem nomination, I am not sure what I will do but I sure hope I don't have to make THAT decision. Barack Obama is the greatest leader to run for president I have sen in my 43 years.

“I rather doubt that most anyone who heard Obama speak at length would regard him as an empty suit. Unlike the current place holder and the newly annointed successor, who can't seem to think his way through the breakdown of a teleprompter, Obama speaks in cogent sentences and paragraphs. His speech was good enough to be a lecturer at Harvard University Law School and good enough to earn him over a million in royalty fees on his book.
Since you like empty suits, I suggest to vote for McBush. The guy actually has air filled inserts into his underclothes and wears body armour on the "safe streets" of Baghdad, just to make it seem as if his aging body still has "bulk". Now that is truly an emty suit.”
“Oh LOOK....Obama couldn't handle the heat in the kitchen and ran away!! LOL”

“Right you are, RISEUPAMERICA, he surely is hiding! Don't be fooled into thinking he is enjoying a brief time away with his two young daughters while they are out of school while still in constant communication and working with his campaign. He is most definitely hiding - the same way he was hiding when he stood before America and directly confronted the great racial divide! What a clever and perceptive individual you are!”
