“If by going Bulworth he means confronting and exposing Corporate greed, I say get going !!”
logansteele1 on Aug 8, 2013 at 12:59:31
“It has more to do with exposing what candidates do to get the money they need to perpetuate their own lifestyles. Going Bulworth isn't a prideful thing to do. If you remember, the character became so embroiled in his own deceit he arranged for and received his own assassination.”

“What about government employee greed, the kind like at the IRS that threatens anything that might upset the tax extortion applecart? But the goose is running out of eggs.”
“I agree , the Sec'y of State nominee should be best possible candidate and Kerry ( or Colin Powell as Mr. Scanlon suggested) is certainly viable. I also feel strongly that the state of Massachusetts will not send a GOP Senator to DC if a special election is warrented.”
“I liked Lin witht the Knicks and was disappointed when he wasn't resigned. That being said I'm shocked it's a headline when he misses a potential game winning shot. As others have commented it's routine ( multiple times/night ) that a tying or winning shot is attempted or made in an NBA game. At least Lin has the nads to try. I wish him well.”
jdg308 on Nov 16, 2012 at 00:01:35
“I assume you're over your disappointment since the Knicks are undefeated with Raymond Felton (Lin's replacement leading the way). Right?
I'm not sure we should give Lin credit for shooting the ball as if it's something courageous. I don't think I've ever seen a player run in fear rather than take a game winning shot. He did what anyone would do. He shot the ball.”
“The President is supposed to be beholding to the entire citizenry. Our current election laws skew this , so he's MORE beholden to the few who contribute vast sums to their warchests ($).
Is it just me or is something seriosly wrong here. We MUST get the CITIZENS UNITED decision overturned.”
bennettsurf on Sep 11, 2012 at 06:51:11
“It is just you. Obama could not have been clearer in his opposition to the Citizens United decision....so much so he criticized it in his State of the Union address to the chagrin of Sam Alito.”

“We MUST over turn Citizens United. !!!!!!!!! It's killing what little is left of our democracy.”
“I don't get it. How does a charity pay a VP $ 198,000 annually. I thought the money raised by charity orgs. went to those in need. Now she's joining the Boys + Girls Clubs as a VP of Development. Again Volunteering is the hallmark of this organization, so I hope she's taking a Big pay cut ( I doubt it).”

“While I agree that it is excessive, that number represents her total compensation package, so that figure probably includes what they paid for her health insurance, vacation allowance and other IRS reportable amounts.”

“Her salary is shown at the same time the HuffingtonPost has an article about the most affluent counties in the country...which lists the average income of that county. I believe the most affluent county was in New York with the average income around $128,000.
Good question about a VP getting $198,000....well above the average income of the most affluent county in the US. She should get $45,000 like the rest of us.”
“I would be offended if she wore the shirt brazenly onto the plane .with F--- printed. I'm Pro-Choice. Make your point elsewhere or wear a sweater. Kids will be on the plane. The airline seems to be within their rights to have her change her T.”

“I am pro-choice as well and I agree. I think the airlines was right. She should have known she was looking for trouble by wearing this shirt.”

“The "F" word is said and written in so many places that your kid or anybody elses kid has seen and most of them said it. Get a life, take offense that we are all getting "F'd" by our government and corporate america! Like I did with my children and grandchildren tell them its a bad word and move on.”

““Kids will be on the plane.”
Good. Explain the message... teach the little snots something. You can’t always protect the children.”
“A very sad and shocking story. Incredible to me that a youthful indescretion from 40 years ago would cause such heartache and turmoil, especially to someone who HAD changed . The shocking part is the reason ( excuse) given by the bank to justuify the dismissal. To have the gall to blame it on Federal regulations which prohibit employing anyone with a criminal record is impossible for me to swallow. As far as I'm concerned many Bankers particularly, Investment Bankers Should have criminal records, but don't , after the Bailout.
Why has there been Zero prosecutions for their wrongdoing. To cheat the USA out of Billions of $ and have no one held accountable is outrageous. But they make an example of Mrs. Quesada. Now that's criminal !!”

“Talk to the two biggest crooks in Congress: Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, who came up with the regulations.”
“It is amazing to me that Marijuana laws have been unchanged since the 60's. Legalize it and Tax it. I believe Pot, Alcohol and Cigarettes should all fall under the same umbrella. Recreational drugs with potentially harmful side effect from abuse. What causes more lost time @ work Alcohol abuse or Pot abuse ? Farmers would profit and we could stop prescribing Vicodin like it's candy. Let's have a Real National discourse on this importqnt issue.”

“Best sibling casting ever is The Long Riders, early 80's flivk about James - Younger Gang.
Had 3 Carradines as the Youngers, 2 Keaches as James brothers, Randy + Dennis Quaid as outlaw brothers and Nick and Chris Guest as the Ford brothers. Graet casting and a excellent film ( perhaps a bit over the top in violence). Also a early Pamela Reed as Belle Starr”
“Thanx for your reply. It was a great Masters' Sunday, with an Albatross, a couple of Aces and Sudden Death PO. Congrats to Bubba but also great effort from Louis O. The Masters always provides great drama + theater.”
FreedToChoose on Apr 10, 2012 at 09:34:02
“BTW, I wasn't that impressed with Bubba's snap hook. It's a shot I hit a lot, but not when I want... ;-)”
“I've never had the pleasure. I guess you didn't realize my comment was tongue in cheek.
I'm rooting for Tiger to be competitive @ Augusta. BTW I did shoot 38 on the back nine of Pinehurst # 2 , front nine wasn't as pretty (43).”
FreedToChoose on Apr 7, 2012 at 14:30:01
“S0rry I missed your intention. My game is worse than yours. In fact the USGA sent me a letter twenty yers ago asking if I could take up bowling because my game was driving people away... ;-) ...For me I want to see every player do well. Tiger brings a unique game to the tour. When they noted yesterday that he hasn't had a double bogie in more than 450 consecutive holes I couldn't believe it, but they assured me it is correct. As I post this he is through fourteen today with two birds and two bogies. He's been two under in all three rounds only to lose it, but no doubles. I'm guessing he's awfully close to being a top competitor again. Hope so.
BTW, I played Copperhead at Innisbrook a few years back and can attest to the accuracy of its name.”
“It used to be I wanted to hit the ball like Tiger Woods. Now he is hitting it like me. I know too well the feeling of "blocking" it right. His attempted biirdie putt on the Eighth also looked like me.”

“When's the last time you played two rounds at Augusta three over?”
“The Supreme Court, in a 5 to 4 decision decided Corporations have the same rights as an individual citizen. This created the Super PACs. It was a horribly wrongheaded decision which needs to be debated and hopefully rescinded. Unfortunately the only way to overturn it is by an Amendment to the Constitution. This approach is being championed by Sen. Sanders of Vt. I don't recall anything in the Constitution giving unalienable right to Corps.
Fight the Power”

“You're entitled to your opinion and in the 80's I'd have agreed with you. I've had a Monte Carlo, Taurus, Cadillac, Mercedes 240D, Lumina, Corrolla, Mazda etc and I feel that US made cars can match up with the competition at present.”
Feb 6, 2012 at 15:39:46
“I beg to differ, but when the Japanese car co. put plants in the US, which is good providing Blue collar jobs, it was with the arrangement that the Corp. would not pay taxes on their profits. You can look it up.”
cgrmn on Feb 6, 2012 at 15:58:28
“You are misinformed, perhaps talking about state and city incentives to lure the plants. It is done for all types of companies.Illinois just gave Sears a multimillion tax break to stay. Its not federal tax policy.”
