Oh, I get it, you're upset that I dittoed Merry Christmas.

Sorry!”

“You could have just shorted your post to say that you wish you could pick and choose who does and doesn't get the healthcare being rammed down our throats.

You also seem a little long winded on telling everyone that since we're being manhandled, that we should just sit there an take it like good little boys and girls.

Sheesh, some people will sing any socialist song with a catchy tune and try to get everyone else to go along.”

“None of what you say will come true. In fact, the CBO predicts the exact opposite will occur.

I can't believe that you could miss the glaring error of this monstrosity and then convince yourself that only good will come from it.

Bottled or tap?”

Keurgui replied on Dec 25, 2009 at 01:35:45

“that's not true. stop making stuff, the CBO did predict the deficit will go down and even more after 10 years. 30 millions more insured. Like the NY article pointed out, most of the current employees will feel good changes with this bill. that was the purpose of this bill.”

“Just who do you mean with "your people"? And, what great things are you talking about?

Are you referring to the bankruptcy and the selling off of two of our largest manufacturing industries?

Perhaps you are referring to the plunder of our treasury?

Maybe you just meant the premature closing of Gitmo and the award of full American rights and privileges to foreign te rr orists who will now be tried in US courts while being afforded the best lawyers our money can buy to defend their admitted guilt but defense of innocence. Is that it?

Or, are you speaking of the millions of people who are losing their jobs while the government is working on raising taxes in the middle of a recession?

And what about the homeless? Could you be referring to the millions of people who have lost their homes and continue to do so at alarming rates?

Or, perhaps you just meant the socialization of our entire healthcare system that was intended to initially serve as an expanded safety net to provide care for 42 million uninsured. But then, that morphed into health insurance reform and will end up costing four times initial estimates. And not only will it cause costs to rise for everyone, but it still leaves out 30 million people!

Could that be the good works you're referring to? Because if it is, you're going to have to harder to convince me there's a silver lining hiding within.”

“While millions of people are being left out of this colossal mistake, millions more won't be. They'll receive higher premiums and reduced coverage.

I'd say thank you to our Congress for screwingup a good thing but I'm never good at lyingabout being hosed. Especially when I know that they won't personally feel the effects of what they are doing to us and our nation. You see, they got theirs and toHell with everyone else, right?

Sure!

It's stunning to see our nation turn into a dependency based society. We used to be independent people but far too many have learned over the years that if they just sit around long enough someone will take up their cause with other peoples money. Unfortunately, the Government is all too happy to agree.

What ever happened to the political momentum of taking care of yourself? What ever happened to personal responsibility? What ever happened to personal integrity? It would seem that those things are extinct and our current government is destined to keep it that way.

We have become a welfare nation.”

Heck, they've given away our wealth to Wall Street, foreign banks, political cronies, union hacks, and family friends. It seems that the only ones undeserving of our hard earned tax dollars are the suckerswho earned it to begin with.

Yup, we got Change alright. Just not Change we can live with.”

“You would do well to pick the candidates that best reflects your views.

I have never voted a straight ticket in all the years I've voted. Each and every office deserves to have the best candidate running it and the only way you can ensure that is to research them yourself.

Far too many people select the straight party line and that has led us to the government we have today with office holders who are intellectually unqualified, morally bankrupt, and lacking in personal integrity. Hence, they have brought their personal flaws into our government and corrupted it from within.

Until the population begins to take things a little more seriously, we will continue to fall farther and farther down this hole of corruption.”

To those with sense:

As you read through these comments you'll notice a running theme. Those on the far left are against this bill- those on the far right are against this bill - those on the middle are against this bill. You will notice however a small gaggle of people that are for this bill. Read their comments though and you will quickly realize they would have been for ANYTHING as long as they got to say they won for the first time in their lives.

“Why do they call it the Public Option when it's not an option at all but a mandate?

Why do they call it Single Payer when it's not payment for services but a tax on limited access?

This is pure Socialism. It's goal is to sap the life and will out of the American public and to increase the scope and power of the Government over the people.

Our nation was not founded upon limited rights but on limited government. This bill flips that notion on its head and permanently changes the playing field with the citizen bowing to the Government instead of the Government bowing to the citizen.”

TakingBackTheUSA replied on Dec 24, 2009 at 10:53:29

“*bourbon shot because another beckerhead said socialism*

It's a "public option" because if you don't have a job that supplies insurance or you can't get insurance, then the PUBLIC has this OPTION so that they can be covered.

You fools only want limited government when it comes to your own wants. I'd like for government to limit it's push on religion on the country's citizens and for conservative elected officials to limit their pushing of their warped version of morality on the rest of the country. While they're at it quit pushing the tax burden of the country onto those that are least able to pay it while exempting those with the most money.

Typical post from you and your group though. Always whining about wanting "limited governemtn" but only limited in the ways you want.”
