“Since their kids weren't damaged (with remarkably few exceptions) by vaccines, I wouldn't cut them any slack in opposing their efforts to endanger the safety and welfare of others.

They're dangerous and should be treated in the way that lessens the damage they do to society.

For every few thousand people they convince to not get vaccinated against H1N1 flu and do get infected, one will die.

Perhaps someone like Ashlie Pipkin who if we could turn back the clock and vaccinate would be alive today.

“I would say that causation and correlation are very, very different. Autism develops at the same age in children who have had vaccinations withheld.

The article did not appear in a peer reviewed journal and no data was presented that can be looked at objectively and evaluated scientifically. I understand that people want desperately to understand the causes of autism and other developmental disorders, but what is needed is scientific rigor and method, not rumour mongering.

Am I pro-vaccine? Yes. I was a molecular biologist who specialized in infectious disease. I have seen what disseminated measles does to a person. Measles was still killing one million kids a year in developing countries when I was in grad school.

Personally, I think autism will be found to be genetic and epigenetic. What will people do if that is the case?”

If their story was similar, I'd be amazed. What does amaze me is the differences in their anecdotes (other than they were 'normal' then after (ambiguous time frame) they were not). When experts in autism and developmental disorders look at old home movies (pre-immunizations) they can see that they are displaying traits typical in children with autism. These parents do not know and have not been trained in identifying the progressive stages as the disorder ensues. For example, children born with an extra chromosome 21 will look and develop normally, but eventually deteriorate in specific cognitive functions (Downs Syndrome). We know it is a whole chromosome (easy to see with a microscope), but until recently, we have been able to see small extra pieces/missing segments of some chromosomes that have a similar progression through development.

There are maybe 100 disorders that occur over time. Look at schizophrenia. Or sickle cell anemia. People age, we develop, we employ and shut down various sets of genes. It is no different with autism. Look into copy number variants and stage-specific gene expression.”

You're right, just found the CDC Wonder link that provides the nice searchable formating. I was digging through raw CSV data before.

You're right, I was inaccurate. Sorted by Event Category, Year Vaccinated and Year Reported; for the years 00, 03, 05, 06, 07, and 08 a total of 140 deaths were reported. Way under my initial reading. In fact reportings of symptoms with an eventual outcome of NOT SERIOUS accounted for 90% of reported events. The rest filter into ER, Death, HOSPITALIZED, PROLONGED HOSPITALIZATION, DISABILITY, and LIFE THREATENING.

Also, from the disclaimer, "A report to VAERS generally does not provide sufficient basis for concluding that the identified vaccine(s) caused the adverse event described. It only confirms that the reported event occurred sometime after vaccine receipt. No proof that the event was caused by the vaccine is required in order for VAERS to accept the report. VAERS accepts all reports without judging whether the event was caused by the vaccine. "”

Categorized by Death, Year Reported, Year Vaccinated. Those numbers are awfully small and you're right I did lie, 2008 shows 100 deaths.

The anthrax vaccine was really only meant to be given to people who likely exposed to it because it is admittly a dangerous vaccine however anthrax is far worse then the vaccine is.

I dug through 2008 as the last date for complete info and there were 29,996 reported events. Further sorting and I saw that only 159 "date of death" are registered. Half of those apparently came from Anthrax FAV110, which is a DoDadministered vaccine. All notes indicate it was administered AFTER the expiration date. Seems army medical needs a stern talking to, although any conversation with a vet or enlistee will tell you that.

The rest of the symptom notes are filled mostly rash data. One girl fainted and left 15 minutes later after being administered a popsicle. I fail to see how this proves your point. In the millions upon millions of vaccines given in '08 and there's less than 30k reported incidents?”

No not everyone has microtumours. They wouldn't be an issue if everyone did.

It's called a tumour for a reason. They actually treat people for it because the microtumours are often cancerous or even begin can grow to a large size threatening the person's health.”
