“Anybody have an idea what he'll do first? Run for president or be dead or in jail? Either option would be quite entertaining.”

“I thought we were comparing Colombians with Venezuelans and Puerto Ricans. Costa Ricans are beautiful, too. It's just that the ratio just doesn't come to the same level. I do remember meeting a Costa Rican wife of a Coast Guard captain when we were both working at the American Interest Section in Havana. She's one of the most beautiful women I ever met. BUT, she's more the exception rather than the rule. Unlike Bogota or Moscow.”

“I've been to both places. Venezuelans win more beauty pageants because they can afford better plastic surgeons. I think this talks about the ordinary women. After visiting 42 countries, in my estimation, it's a tie between Colombian and Russian women. Scandinavians don't even come close.”

“Most Latin American beauties in the fashion industry are SOUTHERN EUROPEAN DESCENT. Nearly all of Brazils top models are Italian, Portuguese, German, or Polish. The real Latin American natives, look nothing like them. All their models they promote in the media can be found in Southern Europe.”

“The women pictured are not ordinary. I'm not knocking Colombians just saying... Actually I think the real natural beauties come from Costa Rica. Like an ol' guy said to me at the airport, "you know there must be a law here that if they are not beautiful by the time they're 16 they deport them."”

“No. obviously I'm not from Puerto Rico but I'm pretty sure that those of us that did eventually come from Mexico did serve in the armed forces.  And did die in service of this country.

So if they teach English, why am I having a hard time being understood by some Puerto Ricans when I talk to them?  Or I have to explain writtenEnglish  instructions in Spanish?”

“The problem I have is when Puerto Rico becomes a state and we travel down there and we have to speak Spanish? Kinda like Belgium where you cross the street into Flanders territory and nobody understands French. Or if you cross in Wallonia you can't speak Flemish.

The extra burden of accomodating them because they won't learn English is costly. That's the problem.”

“I suspect those boys had a difficult time adjusting in Boston and were never assimilated iinto Boston society. Boston does have a reputation, rightfully or not, of being harsh in their treatment of immigrants. Just what I hear from some relatives and frends who settled there. These kids were probably lashing out. Still no excuse.

If they are from Kazakhstan, then they already automatically come with a built-in inferiority complex handed to them by the Russians. I worked in Moscow for a time and one time I took a guided tour of Red Square and the tour guide almost proudly, said that the presidential guards are comprised strictly of white people - Russians and Ukrainians. Kazakhs, Turkmenis, etc. are automatically ineligible.”

Having said that, doesn't FAU have a campus police force to address matter like this? I think I have the answer for that. They won't have one until FAU starts getting the residuals for the stadium naming rights.”

“As someone with a Latino heritage, I would oppose Puerto Rico statehood UNLESS American history is taught and English is taught. I did, when I came into this country in 1971. And I will bet that my grasp of English and American history and government is much, much more profound than yours.

Your comment, however, is STUPID and SHOWS YOUR IGNORANCE of the statehood process. Article IV, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution empowers the U.S. Congress to grant statehood, the process for doing so is not specified.

Don't let your hatred of Obama get in the way becoming enlightened.

You, either did not pay attention, OR the school you went to didn't bother to teach you this. In either case, your ignorance is no excuse for making such a statement. Get some facts before you open your mouth and release the emptiness of your head. You are an intellectual PREPUCE!”

“Mr. "Latino Heritage," obviously, you are not from Puerto Rico. Do the people from the country you are from serve in the United States armed forces? How many of them have been killed and injured protecting the United States? Puerto Rican soldiers are not asked if they speak English (though many do). By the way English is taught in Puerto Rican schools!”

“As someone of Latino heritage who came into this country in the early 70s, I believe that a common language helps unify a country. Learning its history, embracing its founding principles and constitution was something I accepted in becoming an immigrant. Knowing Spanish as a second language is fine but this country works efficiently because we speak a common language. Unlike the current situation in Belgium.

When I had to work at the US Interest Section in Havana, the chief of police tried to play devil's advocate and asked our field office director, who was Mexican-American from El Paso, what he would do if the US and Mexico had a war? Would he fight for the US or Mexico? His reply and mine was "You know damn well our guns would be pointing toward Mexico".

I choose not to "Marque numero dos para Espanol".”

“As an Asian, I've seen and heard of numerous feats of stupidity performed all over Southeast Asia as a demonstration of one's machismo or virility or both. Operative term in all instances was drunken stupidity". Like the retired chief of police in Seoul who ordered the traditional dish of live octopus in a restaurant. (Note: the octopi served are normally around 5 inches in length) These are normally swallowed live head-first but if the octopus manages to get itself turned around, as it did in this instance...imagine Harry Reems' member permanently in Linda Lovelace's throat.”
