“What a silly law.
#1 it does nothing to stop real guns that can shoot more than a .22 round
#2 its in direct violation of the 2nd amendment and will lead to a costly constitutional challenge.
#3 If you are going to print a gun to commit a crime or murder the law does nothing to stop you. For example you can still buy a 3d printer filament and download all the files you need to make the gun still without breaking the law.
In conclusion its a feel good law that does nothing to make Philadelphia more safe.”
simpsonadg on Dec 2, 2013 at 10:06:35
“1. The law was not designed to stop real guns.
2. No it doesn't. It does not prevent the ownership of printed guns, so therefore it does not violate the 2nd amendment.
3. The same can be said of any law regarding guns. However, the last part of that point is pointless, as the law does not prevent you from buying the filament or downloading the files in any way.
In conclusion you're grasping at straws and have proved nothing.”
“To anybody who does not know if you work in a retail store you will be expected to work Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. Don't like it? Don't take retail jobs.”

“How can they not know it? Just about everyone and their brother makes that mindless trip to get the sale items on that day. If your there and the store is serving you you know someone is working. Now I would not like to be in the midst of that not so happy crowd of people walking on each other and htting and cussing to get at what they want. No no.. If they spread this sale thing out to about three or four days Call it black week rather then a day we could reduce that rat race mantality some.”

“With all the outsourcing there are way fewer jobs available. Pretty much only retail. Get a grip. Even college graduates are having a hard time finding employment.”

“I was in Your United States Air Force, I love that term - for 25 years and have worked every holiday that you can imagine since according to them, did have a family.”
“States banning employers from having people work on Holidays is the same as the States banning people who want to work from working. Maybe the person is Native American and doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. Maybe they are muslim and don't celebrate Christmas.”
Adam L Brinklow on Nov 29, 2013 at 04:13:08
“He didn't suggest stopping anyone from working, just paying them overtime. Surely natives and Muslims would appreciate double time as much as the rest of us?”
BoiledPossum on Nov 29, 2013 at 04:08:51
“I was not suggesting that states outlaw working-just that people working on holidays be paid doubletime. And...yes, you are correct that Native Americans aren't celebrating Thanksgiving...for good reason.”
“Or for people who had health insurance but don't want to pay for birth control and are now having there plans canceled and being forced to buy plans on the exchanges that include birth control. Why on earth would a 60 year old grand mother need birth control coverage?”
bipolarbears60 on Nov 8, 2013 at 13:25:25
“I'm pretty sure every private employer provided insurance I've ever had covered birth control and Viagra. Nobody can use both. So, you want insurance that only covers wht you need? Do you have any idea how insurance works?”
“"Obamacare Will Steal Money Straight From Your Bank Account!"
To be fair it intercepts the money before it can get to your bank account and gives it to 100 billion dollar insurance companies. The net result is the same though.”
lacaliffa1288 on Nov 7, 2013 at 17:02:34
“And there's another lie that should not be used on Facebook or anywhere. If you buy insurance on the exchange, you are purchasing from an insurance company. In most cases, you will make payment directly to the insurer. You can purchase insurance privately, have insurance through your employer, or pay a fine instead of having insurance.
"The exchange will offer a list of health plans and their premiums and out-of-pocket costs, including deductibles and co-payments. If you decide to buy one of those plans, in most cases, you will be directed to the insurer's Web site to make the payment. Some plans or insurance companies may require a phone call to set up payment. In some jurisdictions, consumers will make their first premium payment to the exchange and then further monthly payments to the insurer.
If your income makes you eligible for a tax credit subsidy, it will be applied upfront to the monthly premium payment. You won't have to wait until you file your taxes in 2015 to get the credit.
You can also fill out paper applications or apply over the phone."”

If I had to guess the very slow gradual warming of the earth wouldnt cause swift changes like a population cycle would.”
“"In your life you don't have to wait for anything?" I have had to wait on alot in my life. NONE of it has killed me. Having to wait for a medical procedure or a delay in cancer treatment can kill. There is a big difference from waiting for a medical procedure and having to wait for some McDonald's McNuggets.”
justobserve on Oct 30, 2013 at 11:43:57
“So what your solution for "not waiting for cancer treatment"? I hope your solution is to have the rest of uninsured Americans to be subsidized the SAME way the insured Americans enjoy, not based on their employment but on incomes. All Americans should pay a tax, like Medicare, so everyone can have healthcare and the taxpayer money is use for all Americans' benefits instead of billions for wars that destroyed human beings to get to the oil that benefits a few oil barons!”
“The GOP did not hire hackers to screw it up. Obama screw it up buy not writing the regulations until after the 2012 elections because he didn't want the regulations to be used against him in the campaign. They didnt start work on the website until March of 2013 giving them only 5 months to produce the website. It should have had 3 years to be made.”
“And that is how it will be justified. "its better that they dies waiting than die not having insurance"”
justobserve on Oct 28, 2013 at 11:44:55
“What's wrong with "die while waiting than die not having insurance"? In your life you don't have to wait for anything? Fifty million Americans waited for Obamacare for decades and they now will have it on Jan. 1st, 2014 forward. If they have to wait a month, is that bad? Besides, we have statistics of the people who died not having insurance. For 50 million uninsured Americans, that number is quite big, really big! Wait and see how many dies waiting with Obamacare insurance. Common sense tells me the number will be much, much less!”
“That is what they will be saying alot. Want to go to the doctors? "Wait a month!" Cancer treatment "Wait a month!"”

“You lie to support those who oppose a health plan for us all . WHY ? Are you a fake american and a phony Christian ? Why dont you support healthcare for us all instead of cheering for the bloodsucking parasite bastards who have been ripping us off and draining the country dry .
Cherry picking the healthy while leaving those rejected to be cared for by the poor is a stingy and sinful way to go about it . Close the emergency doors to those who dont have insurance and then see what happens .”

“Oh please, not even relevant. If you don't have health insurance you're not going to see a Doctor, and the ACA plans coverage starts on January 1st.
“Property rights protect everybody. They should be respected by everybody. I feel on pity when somebody breaks them and gets in trouble.”

“The trouble with property rights starts when they're allowed to trump the common good, citizen, and I don't mean some ideological abstraction, I am referring to such an event as privatizing water supplies or allowing multinational oil companies to pollute and destroy with impunity.
A law that protects the lawless-minded protects nothing.
