More Right-Wing Distortions on Health Reform

Commented Oct 13, 2009 at 14:38:13 in Politics

“I guess half a loaf isn't good enough for them. It has to be a full loaf, plus. as far as they are concerned. The irony is that they are biting the public hand that feeds them their dollars. There should be a clause that insurance money should never be used to hire lobbyists. The public is screwed twice---1. for overpaying for insurance and 2. paying their lobbyists through the back door. The "public option" finally gives the public a real choice, considering that it's no secret that the the fees insurance companies, not coincidentally, all seem to have been made at one big round table meeting with all the Health Care Industry executives in attendance.”

“"I was raised to believe that we can't tolerate a society that only works for white people, rich people, or straight people," he says to the gathering. "We should only accept a society that works for everyone." —Steve Novick.

Go Steve Novick, go. We need a Senator Novick.”
